I spent a lot of time in the bush working at around your age. Staying in shelters that, if we were lucky, had a roof. Meat, potatoes and bread supplied. The beauty of ones homeland bush, the peace and tranquillity… price-less. As I worked in the tropics too, the wet season floods can be devastating. I wondered when you built your bridge if would handle them. At least your house there was still standing. Good luck with your dream and glad I’m up to date after finding and binge watching since your ‘How to build house’ long video a few days ago. I might go back further sometime and watch others. I might be wrong, but the purpose of your videos is to share something beautiful with those who can appreciate it. Those who don’t appreciate what you do are to be pitied, but never taken seriously. Do what makes you happy, ignore the ones who can’t see the beauty.

I always enjoy watching. Even in Japan, when I was a kid, I used to say “playing in the river” and “playing in the mountain”. I was taken by friends or parents to play in the mountains and rivers all day long. I like it and enjoyed it. I admire your knowledge and ability to act. You are my hero.

I think you’re an awesome person. I “camp” like this when I go camping. I mean i don’t eat snails, but i only bring water; a gallon, a tent, or mat/ sleeping bag, one pot, and a fire starter. Catching your own food is part of the experience.watching your series has made me want to go buy one of those tents. Keep up the good work 🙂

I’m so happy to see the dog roaming free. It’s sure grown and sure sticks to the gals side when she’s working under shelter. She is a hundred day wonder. She needs or wans something…..makes it. I love this video format, it’s so much more realistic then the build-it-in-a-day with furniture and a pool while catching and cooking my own dinner. I admire her design and building choices. Having a higher base, re-enforced with the dry masonry walls she has built a strong foundation well above the water table. Very intelligent lady.

Please keep your tools clean, sharp, and well oiled. It’s easier to cut with a sharp knife, saw with a sharp saw, etc. Plus if you cut yourself it will be a clean cut.When you swing that big blade, always make sure there is something between the sharp edge and yourself…. + 1000 other safety tips from an old man who has seen too many accidents happen to people.You’re in the jungle.
