I feel we need to start introducing stray cats as Neighborhood cats. Ya got cats out there that practically get fed by the whole neighborhood. Hardly a stray. Communist Cat. XD

I’d take him/her to the shelter to check if he/she is chipped or not. If so, they’ll find his/her owner. If not, I’d give it a week for an owner to turn up with an ad in the local newspaper. If no owner turns up after a week, he/she is mine and will be collared and chipped.

The cat’s fur is too well taken care of to be a stray. My guess is that all the neighbors know him and feed him and brush him too. My neighbor used to have a small dog, all the kids in the neighborhood knew him. So when the temperature was too cold, they would take him in at night. He slept at a different house each night as his humans would throw him out at night. His humans eventually ran him over in their own driveway one day-the neighborhood kids were more upset than his humans.

This is what the last man on Earth looks like and his pet cat during daylight hours before returning home before dark.

This cat looks well-fed, unafraid, and very fluffy. Very un-stray looks.

Happened to me once… I was on my way home after work, stopped by a convenient store for some drinks & snacks. Saw a cat meowing at me across the street as she walked straight to my feet, I parked my bike, sat down on sidewalk so I can pet her & she can snuggle as much as she likes, it was a wonderful experience that a random cat on the street got attracted by me. :3

Stray my eye! That cat most likely has daily route filled with cuddles and treats AND has a owner who cares for it.

Its kinda cute to see that the mother was clearly socialised in her kitten period and the kitten is only just learning. Probably doesnt see humans as much as the mother did

Never before seen such clear indication of actual meaning in a cat’s language. She was clearly conveying to the kitten that there’s nothing to be afraid of every time it was getting a little scared. Adorable!
