Loving this episode. Totally relatable to the random loneliness felt when living alone now that I have started to live on my own. But I found more inner peace and am more focused on my life goals now.

i quit my job 6 years ago, and moved to a smaller town on the coast. I work as freelancer for a while, have more time to do what I love: writing and reading, and I completed my education and get certified in NLP. I’ve never been happier and peaceful in my whole life, and I learned to enjoy and appreciate my own company. sometimes we need to be “self-centred” as you said, to find our peace of mind. Enjoy your life 🙂

Hats off to you to Sir for your straight forward and no nonsense attitude.. bravo ….I often felt , living alone may be depressing, but one need to know the ways to enjoy their own actions and choices…you just simply dictated in a very pleasant way, that one can be selfish and self centred without harming anyone. And let me rephrase it, this is what called as Self Love and Self Respect. When I was 29 (your age I guess), I just wanted to travel, discover the world, take cargo to China or Africa (from France), live adventures, but certainly not having a confortable house like yours. I am 55 now, and I never had a house of mine. And dont really miss it. Your videos are peacefull and I like them. It helps me to recover from Covid. Thanks !

I adore your lifestyle! The Japanese are truly unique in the sense they give their everything and put in big efforts! Even when you are living alone, admitting that you like focusing on yourself more than having a spouse and starting a family, you do not lead a messy life. You are still leading a meaningful life! We live in free countries, if we don’t wanna get married, we can’t be forced to do so. I do recommend getting a pet if you feel lonely at night. But beware since cat poop has toxins that get into vegetables. In which case, a very small dog breed that doesn’t really get big is better. I do fear a bit that you have so much fish. Are you sure about the amount of mercury you consume per day? Also if you wanna reduce weight cut off the alcohol. Helps in reducing the calorie ^^

This life style is a privilege to very few . In my home town , a small 2LDK normal old apartment unit costs more than 0.6 million USD ( around the whole country averagely costs 250~300K USD +++ ) and living costs probably are at least 1.5~2X + of those of Japan suburb area so it’s almost impossible to choose such life style . We just have no way out ….under such serious asset-bubble economy ….

仕事や日々の生活におわれて観光地巡りや自然を感じるなんて事は殆どありませんでした。風景を観てると将来は地元に戻りたいなぁと感じさせてくれる動画でした。

ひとりでも、ちょっと出かけるだけでこんなに楽しいんだなあ

こんばんは。今回も動画拝見させて頂きました。古民家さんって、若輩者の自分が言うのも何なんですが、センスいいですよね。BGMの選曲とか、1カット1カットのトリミングといい、絞り解放気味でピントの深度を調節したり…。全てがいい具合にリンクして独特の雰囲気を醸し出してるような気がします。自分も独り暮らしをしているのですが、古民家さんの動画を見初めて以来、ちょっと面倒だなと思っても、味噌汁を作ったり、前よりも料理するようになりましたし、今日は今日で無印良品に行って、化粧水買ってきてしまいました(笑)古民家さんが紹介する商品は、多分、こんな感じで売れ行きよくなっていくでしょうね(笑)次の動画も楽しみにしています。

動画を見てると、不思議と切ない気持ちと懐かしい気持ちと、でもほっこりして休日の最後に見て癒されるのも最高な１日の締めくくりですね。

在宅ワークになって2ヶ月が経ちますが、こちらのチャンネルで一人暮らしの豊かさを再確認させて頂くうちに、コロナ終息後に再開するであろう満員電車に揺られての出社と会社での仕事が非常に憂鬱になってきました…。ライフワークと決めていた趣味がコロナにより再開の目処も立たない中、漸くそれらが無い生活に慣れてきたところですが、すると寧ろそれまでの会社生活がどれだけ神経をすり減らすものだったかに気づきました。慣れとは恐ろしいもんですね。このまま在宅ワークか当たり前になったら、投稿主さんのように田舎（希望は奈良、でも伊豆も良いですね）に移住することも真面目に考えたいです。古民家一人暮らしさんのような自立したゆとりもある生活が送れたら最高です✨🤭

本当に、、、理想の暮らしというかなんというか、古民家さんの動画を見さしていただくたびに自分の今の人生は本当にいいものなのかと真剣に考えさせられます。20代で人生経験もあさいですけど思い切ってこんな理想の町で暮らしてみたいと最近すごく思うようになりました。

You have the most wonderful videos! I watch them over and over. They give me inspiration, and are peaceful. 🙂 The inns were all interesting and had such charm. I agree with the gentleman that it’s important to keep your mind young. I am an activity director in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. at the 2nd largest 55 and up community in the U.S.A. I’ve worked with seniors for 25 years. It’s important to have a positive attitude, count your blessings every day, eat well, exercise, learn new things, have a spiritual faith (for me, Christian) and have good relationships with people. Basically, it’s like the Japanese philosophy of ikigai. I have a poster about ikigai on my office wall for people to read. I am also a professional artist and I enjoyed the inn that had art in it, and the boy that was painting. That reminded me of myself when I was young. I watched this right before going to the grocery store. The vegetable pasta looked wonderful, so I’m going to buy the ingredients and make it for dinner! Thanks for another wonderful video!

Japan is the best country all over the world! 🥰 I have never been in Japan but I watch a lot of moves and videos about your country. I even started learning Japanese (for now I know only few words and I can introduce myself…) because I hope to visit Japan one day. It’s my biggest dream! I also live in countryside, there is a lot of forest and wild nature around me. The nature is amazing. But I’m a little bit disappointed that my neighbors not necessary love nature and quite and simple life as me. They love cars and different noisy tools. It’s sad and frustrating. But I have to learn to live with that. Here is still a lot of nature and wild birds are coming to my garden. It’s beautiful 😍

While each guesthouse is unique, I like the last guesthouse the best. The food look mouth-watering and delicious. I can tell the owner is very good at cooking and baking. I also like the large open second floor. I appreciate their attention to the little details, and I think that probably make your stay extra special. I would be interested in staying there. I hope the couple has a website for travelers to book their guesthouse.

天竜川の水源の諏訪湖ら辺出身です。学生の頃はみんなで辰野の蛍見に行ったりしていたのでとても懐かしくなりました！でもこんな素敵なカフェやお宿があるのは初めて知りました！今までに見た事がなかった地元の姿が見られて新鮮でした！

I sometimes wonder if you’re a creative person by nature. You seem to be able to make simple things special. Creative people are often good at visualizing ideas. You seem very capable in so many things and a lot of times creative people tend to be that way. And you are a photographer, so you have to be able to have an understanding of what makes sense and is as it should be in a picture. The organic soap looked so nice! Lately, I’ve been using organic clove soap in the cold months and organic honeysuckle flower soap in the warm months. It’s so good for your skin! 🙂

Packing for camp is always so hard and heavy.I recently been shopping around for very small tools like stove.
