The only sad thing I can say about this video is that you use the same dull screws to hold the case. I mean, I can say about myself that I hate when it happens, but to replace those is a long-run must-do if you don’t want to lose your time on the next clean/restoration. Great video!

The plate did not have to be folded back from the aluminum decoration. A bend strip became visible.

10:32 the loose metal facial panel at least didn’t have a big crease in it until you put one in it by folding it back on itself right there. Why did you do that?!

I would have replaced the power socket completely instead of glueing it in, also the metal strip didn’t need bending back

Eso no es una Atari 2600, es un clon 2600. Aun as� se merece ser restaurada, pero no deberias haber doblado la placa metalica, la proxima vez calienta el pegamento con un secador o decapador. Intenta no “destruir” para restaurar. Te animo a que sigas mejorando, un saludo.

That unmarked switch doesn’t look original – looks like a replacement, that is an ingenious placement of the thermostat – in the airflow of the fan so it can accurately react to the temperature of the room and switch the fan heater accordingly. I wouldn’t have plugged it into that universal extension lead – looks dodgy/Chineseum crap
