かてぃんさん、動画に勇気を貰いました。ありがとうございます私、薬指と小指が固まっちゃうことがよくあるんです。持病の関係で。でも計6本あるんですよね。あとはクオリティを高めなければ💪これが実は一番大変…笑

僕、ピアノが弾けるんですけど、実は平山病という病気のせいで、どんどん力が弱くなり、右手の小指、薬指はほとんど動かなく、握力は8しか無くなってしまいました。だからピアノはもう弾けないかなと思ってたんですけど、この動画みてまだやれると思えました。頑張ります。

You’re the first pianist to actually play the Super Mario theme in a _Boogie_ like style in public and I love it so much.The majority of YouTube Pianists I’ve seen play the Mario theme in the original format on public pianos and it just gets really boring.But you play it in a _Boogie_ way and that’s what makes you the better pianist and my favourite in my opinion.I hope to see more of your stuff. I fail to find the words adequate enough to describe this performance. Bloody amazing. The cadenza has so much of Cateen’s originality and style in it, but yet it still ties with the rest of the piece so closely. Speechless. This has to be one of the best ever performances of the piece.

This is amazing on so many levels. A virtuoso performance would’ve been enough. But that cadenza was so rigorous and entertaining! Influences of Gershwin? Borodin? Rachmaninoff? Add to that the production values and the cartoon segments and shadow work. Endlessly fun and really added to the sense of the performance. Plus the wavy Romantic era hair! Everything was crafted so excellently. Just amazed. Top notch. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I love that you did to Liszt exactly what he did to many others: making their pieces your own.

Normally I’m not a massive fan of people writing their own cadenzas. It never really fits the virtuosity of the piece and can make it too disjunct and awkward at times. This for me is very different. It reminds me of the Hamelin Cadenza. You made it your own, totally changed it up and made it feel more modern while still living up to the virtuosity this piece deserves. This cadenza will live on with Hamelins. Outstanding job on this. It’s truly an amazing accomplishment!

トムとジェリーの凄いところは、あんなに普段は物理法則無視してるくせに、演奏の映像と実際の音はきちんと一致しているところなんですよね。だからこうして演奏を聴くとあのアニメ映像も思い起こされる。でも当時はこんなに１音１音に注目してなかったな。改めてこんな素晴らしい曲なんだなと実感できたのはかてぃんさんがいてくれたからだ。

今ままで聴いてきたハンガリアンラプソディーのなかでこのアレンジが一番すごい！なんか歴史のすごいピアニスト達総勢でこういう風に弾きたかったんだって次々に入ってきてるみたいですね。今までハンガリアンラプソディー聴いててハンガリーの街が浮かんできたことなかったのに、このアレンジを聴いていたらハンガリーの街が頭に広がりました。すごい才能だ。。。

Cateen is something else, he is probably one of my favorite if not my favorite pianist, when you see him play you are inspired by the music and feel the color shifting.

この曲と言えばトムとジェリー！と思ったらトムジェリの映像が出てきてリビングでゴロ寝しながら見ていたけど思わず正座した。トムジェリの中でも1番の名作と言っていい神回と、これまた神がかった演奏とがリンクしてリビングが一気にシアターと化した。楽しい…！

Did anyone notice that when he started the middle section at around 3:12, the sunlight color around his room changed? Like it’s shining a spotlight down on Cateen as he prepares to serenade us with his soft touch and musical interpretation? It’s so beautiful and nostalgic!Wowow, just noticed at 6:42 the room changed back to its original color after he finished the entire middle passage! If this wasn’t a coincidence with nature/sunlight syncing with Cateen, then I don’t know what is! (Btw, thanks for the Like, Cateen!)

A very good performance, I would say actually incredible! This can easily compete with the highest quality renditions like the master Pletnev, Horowitz, Kissin. Very good pedal control, voice balance, tone quality, the body gestures are exactly as they have to be – not too big, not too artificial to distract but always on point. The timing mastery is also on an incredibly high level. I am actually in love with this performance. Congratulations!
