I always thought it was assault to hit someone but apparently it’s a thing since everyone doesn’t help her and only stands around.

I disagree with her friend. The live in girlfriend did do wrong. First, she accepted his terms. Second, she continued on even after she realized what he was. Third, she changed for him. Can you imagine having to be always vigilant for signs of cheating, stalking and driving off a man’s latest conquests while lying and pretending to him that you are blissfully ignorant of his deceit? She learned to lie as well as he could especially to herself. She was no longer a victim. She became a volunteer. She sold herself cheap to a man who wasn’t good enough for her and would never love her. She did wrong every time she climbed in bed with that dick all the time probably wondering who he was with during his last trip out of town and who it would be the next time. Such a hopeless romantic making it sound much more glamorous than it really is.
