(c) shurap Production of a blade by forging from a plumbing cable, 0.7% carbon steel on the cutting edge. Zone hardening 59 units. Tea: mojito green tea …

Out of all the damascus patterns I’ve seen, this one is the best

I would love to see him beat contestants on forged in fire.

I just imagine having some equipment like that just to attempt to be able to do the type of work you do! I love your work! Keep it up 👍

This one is definitely my favorite. The scale pattern looks amazing.

This is the coolest Damascus pattern ive ever seen.

Everything you do is brilliant. Someday I would love to own one of your pieces.

This one and your twisted bicycle tire wire pattern are my favorites. The riverbank flowers pattern is amazing as well for the work involved. I wanted to see how the Easter Egg pattern would have looked as a knife.

Amazing as always.. Need to see the finished product on this one

I love that pattern! He’s got some great videos, I’d love to see him on Forged In Fire!

Most beautiful damascus pattern i’ve seen till date..Hats off to u sir !!

Absolutely the best looking Damascus knives I’ve ever seen. Beautiful works of art! 👍👍👍

One of the nicest patterns ive ever seen!! Great job buddy, how long did it take from start to finish for this blade?

That is gorgeous! I would Love and cherish a knife that was forged that beautifully. You are a Supreme Master.

I’d love to see your creativity on the handles you put on these beautifully crafted blades

Damascus steel from shoe nails. Roasted nails.

Damascus steel from shoe nails. Roasted nails. (c) shurap

(c) shurap I don’t know what these nails were made of, but after a day and a half of trying, I could not properly etch the blade, only made shells. Tea: rose hips.

If it’s metal and can fit in his little piece of box tubing, this guy is gonna make “Damascus” out of it.

I’d really love to see a few knives fully completed, like with handles and guards

“А жареных гвоздей не хочешь, нет?” Теперь понятно из какого материала сделано оружие черепашек ниндзя

Только подписался! Дима, помню как все начиналось на Басах в карьере) Респект!!

I’m not a blade smith but do enjoy your videos. You make it look so easy! In my book that’s the mark of an expert!

Don’t forget to add honey when you BBQ again next time

Cool knife. I haven’t seen anyone make rose hip tea in years. My dad used to have me collect them for him when I was younger

extremely satisfying to watch. took all my stress away. 👍🏼

It’s always so meditative to watch , love it. 👍

Luv your work! You got me drinking tea now too.. it always looks amazing when you make it lol!!

Shurap, I want one video every 1/2 an hour lol so I can marvel at your artistry and sleep too, your shop sounds are like a lullaby for me and I’m 49 years old lol

NO MUSIC, NO SOUND EFFECTS, ONLY TALENT THAT’S AMAZING DUDE!

This guy: “Now, let me add a bit of *s p i c e* to that”

You might not have gotten the etch you wanted but I wouldn’t call this effort a fail. You have a usable final product and have learned something about the metal source. win and win.

I was waiting for him to tell it’s taste at the end. So disappointed 😂

You must be great at editing videos because I don’t usually like videos about crafting metal but something about this is just mesmerising.

Damascus from the motor chain, a new species

Damascus from the motor chain, a new species (c) shurap

(c) shurap A new design of the damascus pattern from the chain, in this case from the motor chain of the car. The process of making a blade from the chain, a new concept …

Wasn’t a huge fan of the screw Damascus but this pattern is wild! Like a combination of wood knots & fire. Very cool.

By far, this is one of the most fresh patterns i’ve seen in years, great job man. I also like the design of the blade itself, and how the pattern matches the blade work.

Absolutely GORGEOUS blade! Love that you can actually see the chain pattern in the steel so easily.

I love how you had the pattern well into the tang. Makes the handle flow to the blade. Well done.

Hey Dmitry, I was wondering, does laws prevent you to makes different blade types, or is normal blade S1 your preferred?

Always a pleasure watching you work… Nice touch using the clay for Differential hardening by the way really makes the edge pattern Pop ^.^

I’m loving that pattern! Should make for a stunning finished knife.

One of the most beautiful blades I’ve ever seen … you are truly an artist!

What an amazing piece of art

Never seen a pattern quite like that. it’s really unique, love it 🙂

Of all of your pieces that I have seen, this one is my favorite 🙂

All of your creations are awesome, the chain is my favorite. You are a Boss !

Hands down one of the most beautiful knives I’ve ever seen.

Now that’s a sweet design in a blade.

I like watching you work awesome blades. Sure do wish I could get one

Beautiful work! Wish I could have one of these knives!

a beautiful pattern you’ve brought out in the blade! excellent!

I really love the way it turned out.

Thank you Dmitry! I received my order.. it was perfect. So cheap too!

Techno Damascus Steel

Techno Damascus Steel (c) shurap

(c) shurap The process of making a complex (mosaic) blade of Damascus steel from a motor chain. On the cutting edge, steel u10 zonal quenching 62 Rockwell units.

I don’t know why, but I like when he brushes off his anvil every time he’s finished with it.

The only problem with this Master’s knives is that they are such beautiful works of art you could never use them except to admire their beauty.

I love how you were able to reheat the blade and use a rubber mallet to salvage the warp in the blade. The fact that you were able to catch that, and fix it, without ruining the blade, is a testament to your skill as an artisan. Again, beautiful craftsmanship. Your passion for your work is evident and inspiring. Thank you for welcoming us into your forge, and for sharing your amazing work with us. Best of health and fortune to you!

That’s a pretty blade. Watching a master working so casually, only to see a piece like that emerge is fascinating.

I would also love to see you make some handles as well, for all these beautiful knives you have made!!

Absolutely gorgeous! Definitely one of my favorites works of yours.

I’ve watched a lot of night making videos including yours and that is the best design I have seen on a knife yet excellent job

So unique, you did such a beautiful job. You’re so meticulously detailed throughout the entire process, it’s impressive. Thank you for sharing.

I can’t get enough of this…Staying up late and still watching.Amazing

The patterns you achieve are awesome! And the knives too, congrats!

Awesome…would love to see the handles made for these blades?

Amazingly impressive as always. I wondered why you added those extra slithers of steel near the outside so late but it became apparent after seeing the end products blade edge. Very nice 👏🏼

Outstanding! That’s a masterpiece!

These knives are off the chain!Am I the only one that thinks the pattern looks kind of like Marvel’s Venom?

It’s amazing how there are no gaps in the steel since it starts out with all that open space. Great video!

I really love this pattern, it almost looks like audio feedback waves ^^

For those looking for the name of the powder he used throughout the video: Borax. It’s just borax from the store. Most people use for cleaning. Here it helps the forging process. Essentially, it helps the metal surfaces fuse together with themselves wherever they meet.

Easter egg of the steel cable (Damascus steel). (c) shurap

Me: please not another woodturning video, please not another one.Youtube: i got you covered bro, how about a steel turning one?

6:40 when the dominatrix has had enough of your complaining

Ive never wanted a decorative egg in my life before. Until now. I kind of need one now😂.

That is beautiful, I’d love to see a blade with that pattern. Amazing work.

Best pattern yet, I am really loving your stuff.

WoW , that looks amazing !! I love all you do 😀 I am a big fan ,. warm regards from Norway.

The most beautiful thing I have ever seen created. Thankyou for posting this

That’s really awesome! You are a true Craftsman!

Shurap, your style and product is off the chain, love it!

You can tell from the b-roll that he’s proud of this, and soooo rightfully so.

Coolest video yet, really loved seeing the detail come out after soaking

A true masterpiece from a true master.

I would etch the pattern really deep, to create “dragon scales.” Also, this pattern would make a REALLY cool hammer head!

I’ve just started to watch some of your video’s and your work is just so beautiful and amazing.

That’s one of the most satisfying damascus builds I’ve ever seen. Well done.

The final product took my breath away. It looks like a cathedral made out of stained glass.
