250K PESO SIARGAO TINY HOME – My Filipino Tiny House Inspiration in the Philippines

250K PESO SIARGAO TINY HOME - My Filipino Tiny House Inspiration in the Philippines (c) TheTravelingClatt

(c) TheTravelingClatt 250K PESO SIARGAO TINY HOME – My Filipino Tiny Home Inspiration in the Philippines! today I introduce you to my pal Rodol …

Watch the entire house building series here! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzHRSHS9p7St8bk1Y2OXJ-LzGtDDlzgpg

What I really like about the Philippines is the ability of a person to build their dream, and make it happen without being hinder by expensive regulation of building codes, laws. In US just to convert your garage into a room it cost basically 10 folds, if not, more of what this house has cost. You might want to cement the foundation of your house due to erosion from rainy season. Solar might be good in addition to your house. If it’s out of the budget, get one of those cheap harbor freight non hybrid diy solar just to back your house up.

Love the tiny homes that Rodol designed! The A- frame is functional with clean layout. Best use of space without feeling cramped. His eye for design is on point! Thanks Tal!

The outdoor patio makes this tiny house great! You can have guests over and not feel crowded. Nice!

“Some people wants to have big houses, fancy cars, a lots of things and live in the big cities. All I want is to have a tiny house in the countryside surrounded by nature, away from those kinds of people.”

The other tiny house is perfect for tourist couples visiting Siargao and looking for a nice simple clean house to stay in. ❤️

Both houses are so cool, their small but it really gives the feeling that you’re in a paradise.

I love the simplicity of the house there, no furnace, air-conditioning, hot water tank and other necessities you’ll find in western world. When I’m retired and fate permits, I’ll go back there to enjoy my retirement.

Wow, I love traveling and tiny houses…I follow lots of traveling channels by foreigners traveling around the Philippines and tiny house channels by foreigners in NZ, US…so glad I discovered this! A tiny house featured in my country…very nice!

This house is on par with any tiny house made by manufacturers in the US

Im happy for you, Clatt. You’re gonna have your own home. That’ll be quite a bit of savings in the end, even if leasing a land.

It’s that bathroom door that stole the show! Hoping you’ll include such artwork in your house.

Beautiful property! Great country and people, much love for the Philippines! Thanks for sharing.

That tiny house looks comfy and well design, love it

Nice one bro! Im workin’ on a tiny(ish) house for my lot here in Batangas… but def more than 250k lol. I think maybe labor costs are less in Siargao..? Anyway, stoked to follow your journey building there in Siargao. Amping diha🤘

thank you! salamat din kay sir Rodol sa pag gawa niyo at nakita natin to benchmark that tiny houses are applicable for Filipinos since we are medium-small sized human being.

Must be nice to wake up every morning in a greenery scene

Wow! I really love watching tiny houses abroad but this is the 1st time I saw local. And the quality is definitely up there among the good ones insaw abroad.

Lots of condos in big cities with a loft actually look similar to Rodol’s house. Only his is way better with his patio and a garden w/c can even double up as a bike garage.

WOW! I’m very inspired too!! We have some land in our province near the street & you gave me the idea now!! Forgive me for not believing you at first & thinking it’s just a joke too!!

(c) TheTravelingClatt NYC’s Best Halal Carts! – New York City Halal Food. Today well be eating from the best Halal Carts in NYC! We team up with Food …

Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram! https://instagram.com/thetravelingclatt ♥️

Great to see the other side of this video with @foodandfootprints 😁 A lot of fun, and definitely makes us want to get back to NYC sooner! Awesome work Tal, Greg and Jumi 😁👍❤

So much fun collabing on this with you! The video turned out great!

We love hearing Greg describing food!! It’s one of our favorites things

Love this Halal food tour. Personally I recommend in Flushing, Queens the Madina Halal Cart located in the parking lot of Stop and Shop by the Whitestone Lanes bowling alley and the Halal Cart right across the street from Skyview Mall in downtown Flushing. If you ever come around, try it and enjoy it as I’m sure you will. Cheers! Let me know if you need directions

Since moving to the Northeast (Connecticut) in 2017, I’ve been to the city about half a dozen times, but I’ve never tried a food cart except to get roasted almonds in Central Park. I’m definitely trying a food cart next time I go!

YASSS! Great collab. G and J crush the food scene. The food trucks look amazing.

Love your channel! Love halal! Love Greg and Jumi too!! Nice review of the halal cart tour!!

My god…Sammy’s looked so damn good. Next time i’m in NYC gonna head there.

Can’t blame you for choosing Kwik Meal as the favorite – that lamb is amazing!

Best cheap halal food spot is $5 right by hotel pen. Even for a mix of chicken and lamb it’s still $5. Can’t beat $5 in midtown, plus it taste good.

Yay!! We love this collab with food and footprints!Awesome to see your video. We loved theirs!

You need to come to the UK and do a video from the perspective of an American. We have Halal foods galore from street food to premium restaurants. London, Birmingham, Leicester, Manchester and Bradford are the best cities for Halal foods in the UK.

626th view, 82nd like and 62nd comment, Hello, Halo! Jealous in Central Illinois! Springfield does not offer much in this cuisine ☹️. Looked like all of you enjoyed the “Day of Halal”. So good to see you and meet your friends. You always brighten my day! ❤️🤗

We need more food videos like this and 1 star reviews

Make me craving to go NYC now..🙀🇸🇬✈️🇺🇸

Dude so cool I love halal food!! Omg the chicken masala..lamb with rice..white sauce!!! So addicting! The street vendors are the best! All restaurant quality food!! Love food and Footprints!

My dream is to visit the big Apple 🍎 and experience street cart food. Ive never had any before, those all look amazing. Love your videos

waalaikumusalam Halal food looks yummy

Really like your videos! You just won a subscriber 😉 can you do a Travel Guide on Bushwick, Brooklyn? Love that series

COULDN’T BELIEVE THIS WAS IN ENGLAND! Yorkshire Dales

COULDN'T BELIEVE THIS WAS IN ENGLAND! Yorkshire Dales (c) TheTravelingClatt

(c) TheTravelingClatt I couldnt believe this exists in England! We visited a bunch of sites around the like district. Like ribblehead viaduct, yorkshire dales …

Hey guys, welcome to the REAL England. London is NOT really typical of what our country is about. The Lake District (where you are with Windermere) is just one of the most beautiful places to visit. If you want other places may I suggest the Peak District, especially Mam Tor, caverns etc, Manchester, very definitely unlike London. Also Leeds and Bradford and surrounding districts, and one can go on for ever. London? Too awful for words. Best wishes, Dave in Yorkshire.

This was so good to watch as a Northerner. We need to send this video to other American tourists and get them to look outside the capital.Just hope you had subtitles for the way we speak up here…..

an American in northen England. “wow a stream””wow a cave”a northerner of England.”wow flat land””wow a wide straight road”

I laughed my arse off at an American trying to get close to some sheep. That was so funny. You’ve got a new subscriber.Edit: It’s not unusual for people to use geese as guards in a similar way to dogs. They can be very vicious when they want to and broken bones are not uncommon from an attack. I’m glad they were in a good mood.

Thank you thank you thank you for coming to the UK and not just doing London. I hope you enjoyed it here mate

Really nice to see people from overseas going to England and bypassing London, particularly the north of England. The weather can be hit and miss, although go in summer next time and you might be surprised. Generally the people in northern England are very friendly and certainly not posh as any are in London, (although you will get the occasional one as you do anywhere even in the USA) better food on average than in London and your’re far less likely to be ripped off and although some of the scenery just outside London is “pretty”, the scenery in the national parks up here is stunning. Oh and the beer is infinitely better lol! You might guess I’m not from London, admittedly the place has some great architecture, but so does York, Chester and Durham. : )

Good for you man, it really does speak volumes that you didn’t think there’d be anything like this here. It’s a real shame people see this sceptered isle and just think of London. It does my head in when people claim to have been to England and they’ve only been to London so good on you for exploring.

I love Yorkshire! I’m an American but I have lived in England for a while now, and try to get to Yorkshire on a regular basis. The people there are some of the loveliest people as well

Yorkshire is home for me, and I’ve seen a fair bit of it, but there’s still so much for me to see. Travelling the UK is definitely something I want to do once I’m back!

FINALLY, AN AMERICAN NOT IN LONDON, THANK YOU FOR VISITING ACTUAL BRITAIN AND NOT JUST LONDON.

Thanks for not just going to London and saying you’ve been to England. There is so much here, big cities, hamlets, towns, villages and soooooo much beautiful countryside. Best countryside though is in Northumberland (where the Vikings first rocked up…) then head up over the border to Scotland, absolutely BEAUITFUL!

Also, guys, did you know that just to the side of that viaduct, when it was being built, a huge temporary township was constructed for the workers and their families to live in, including schools, etc! Also the pillars holding up the viaduct have foundations of sheep’s wool. And the tunnel which is just beyond it, is haunted by the men who died building it.

Being from Yorkshire it’s pretty rare seeing tourist videos exploring around our areas, but they’re always pleasant to find! Just wish the world didn’t think the only population of England was in London haha

Tbf, If you want to see England, you NEED to get out of London…

Plus I realise you’ve visited some, but I left them in for reference anyway.*

It is so fun to watch you explore the world.

Omg you’re at Malham cove? how beautiful is it! I abseiled down it once. You can climb to the top, and if you do you’ll see all the stones where they filmed a scene in Harry Potter 😛 there’s also a beautiful walk that you can take over the top of the cove. It leads to Janet’s Foss which is beautiful, and also to Gordale Scar which is incredible! You should check them out if it’s not too late, or at least give them a cheeky google. Love your videos Xx

One time I was travelling through a Yorkshire village, there was a sheep in a phone box and one chilling in the post office.

Whilst at grammar school I went on a geography field trip to Malham and we had to climb up the waterfall. Quite scary. At the top is a brilliant limestone pavement. And the view! The Yorkshire Dales are, after the Lake District, perhaps the most beautiful part of the UK. I hope you visited York – where I went to uni and trained to be a teacher.

North Yorkshire has some fantastic scenery love driving through the great landscapes.

FOREIGNER ARRESTED in the PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭 during the 2020 pandemic

FOREIGNER ARRESTED in the PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭 during the 2020 pandemic (c) TheTravelingClatt

(c) TheTravelingClatt FOREIGNER ARRESTED in the PHILIPPINES during the 2020 pandemic Today Ill be showing you my insane journey trying …

Now I understand … … yes, the police was not arresting you for any thing … they were actually doing a circumvention of a law and was trying to get you into the next province as fast as they could. It seems every LGU(Local Government Unit) has their own “Entry and Exit sets of documents”. What they did was the oldest trick in the book .. … … by putting you in police custody, they made it seem that you are just being transferred from one holding station to another, but what actually happened was that, even with out – “Entry set of document” for that province – the full document required by the local government for entering their province while on quarantine. You were rather, whisked from one side of the provincial boundary into another province. You are now in side another province even with out the local government’s required paper work, the “Entry set”. Then again I suppose the police then informed you that in order to leave that area, you’d have to collate another set of “Exit” documents” and since you don’t have those yet, they let you stay inside their police compound. Then later on after which you were able to get the docs and move on to the next province. The police was actually able to help you save cost for travelling, if that was even possible(you had a free place to stay while you complete your exit docs and you did not have to process your entry docs at all, for that province). … …. …. Despite that this is the kind of “You tube Drama” that I like, not the begging for your tears kind of drama. Another great piece of video … keep on going and keep on being positive!!! 😀 ….. …. And best ending of all … … …. you are now TRAPPED in PARADISE!!!! ….. I ENVY YOU!!! , yes, I was screaming with envy! hahahahaha! 😀

Damn man! It’s increible that even though you had such a rough journey the Filipino people still have such a large heart, and continue to help as much as they can. I truly can’t wait to go and explore!

This video deserves an award. You deserve even more for navigating through this! Props to you man, im glad u made it to your family in Siargao. Now enjoy those amazing sunsets and slow wifi connections in siargao! Mabuhay!!

I’ve been looking forward to hearing this story about some real world stuff that happens here! I’m about to go through this moving from Manila to Laguna. The preparation and paperwork requirements are intense, with no real assurance that it’ll work. Bahala na! You are spot on with your assessment of this whole situation – the good, the bad, and the ugly. This is a very refreshing change to watch a video that tells about some real life craziness that happens here, as opposed to the daily offering of sunshine vlogs about how everything is ‘more fun in the Philippines’. Amping Bai!

That was intense! But to be fair. Frontliners did their job very well. As we all know Siargao has no case of the virus. They’re are just protecting their localities… if people complained about the strict policing or check points. Man, we can switch places. I rather be in a place where strict rules are being implemented with almost zero cases than a free for all type of place with hundreds of cases everyday.Stay safe man! Watching from Toronto!

We’re glad that you’ve reunited with your family in Siargao. In the past traveling from point A to point B anywhere in the country was effortless. However we now live in interesting times where the enemy is invisible but very much around us. We admire your positive outlook and not lose hope in the humanity of ordinary people. This is the Philippines and even though we are admittedly a Third World Nation we Filipinos still look after each other. Stay safe.

Because you patiently waited. You finally able to get through. You’re a role model to everyone that no matter what happen you always need to see the positive side. Godbless you Tal and to all the people who helped you. Its a wonderful experience and im pretty you learned a lot. Anyways i felt kilig when ate says “ive been waiting for you” ayie lol. Stay safe and hope to meet you in person someday. You are trully a great story teller. Mabuhay ka Tal!

Glad to see it worked out! I can’t imagine how it must’ve felt to be trapped by yourself for months in Cagyan de Oro, I spent 2 weeks quarantined in a hotel by myself and it was the most depressing time of my life, never appreciated my friends and family so much.

Happy for you, man. What a journey you had there, literally up and down like a roller coaster. I can’t imagine what will I feel if I were on your shoes. But the good thing is, the people around you are genuinely looking after you, and you came out alive and well.Looking forward to see more adventures.

Your patience is immaculate for a person who had experience the finer things in life. A veritable role model.

What an adventure, what a story to document and tell. The grit, the passion, the struggle, the hopes, the disappointments and finally the relief! This story has it all! You’re truly an amazing traveler and storyteller my brother! Power to you! ❤️👍🏾🙏🏽👏🏽

This makes me to wanna cry. This pandemic is really gruelling and such an eye opening too. I am happy that you are safe Tal. In one point, we were really worried about your situation. We love you, Tal. Take care always. Looking forward for more new videos…

Wow, what an adventure Tal! This pandemic thing is really taking a toll on everyone. Unfortunately, like you mentioned earlier in the vlog, each town, city, barangays all seem to have their own interpretations of the rules as it applies to the pandemic. It’s a fluid situation and rules keep changing as you travel throughout the country. Just try to remain positive and just think that this is done for our own good and safety. One take away from this video….the harder the challenge the more Filipinos step up. Take care and stay safe!

One day in your old days, you will remember back these things and will just smile and think, what a wonderful experience you had during the pandemic. And probably tell your stories to your grand children.

Im glad a lot of people came out to your help. I guess part of them treating you like that is how you are as a person, so full of positivity and always respectful. God bless you Clatt. keep safe.

Felt your happiness when you’re finally moving to Siargao, got me really emotional and teary eyed! Man, you survived this whole process and I have so much respect for you and to everyone who helped you get through this. God is good, all the time! Clatt fam, applause to our man! Well done. 👍☺

That was a wonderful journey! It’s amazing how you’ve let us be part of your vlog, praying you will pass through after that 6-day hold over. Everything happens for a reason and you’ve learn to appreciate more of “Filipino kindness”.

That was a nerve wrecking experience of yours. It’s like watching a movie. Take care of yourself. Enjoy the Philippines. I am glad you came to visit the Philippines 👍

I am actually “impressed “ of what you experienced there ( the Good and the Bad). It is an excellent adventure and experience in life. Better than always being comfortable and very easy to obtain things so right away. I have ghost bumps while watching your video but for me, we needed this sometimes in our lives. At the end, you have shown to your subscribers how you react positively on this situations. Two thumbs up to you.

Sometimes those memories of lockdown would be a defining moment of your life. These are stories people envy. You are doing amazing things for your journey. And not all do what you do especially in this pandemic.

FOREIGNERS TRY FILIPINO FOOD! ULTIMATE Philippines Food Taste Test! Divisoria Market

FOREIGNERS TRY FILIPINO FOOD! ULTIMATE Philippines Food Taste Test! Divisoria Market (c) TheTravelingClatt

(c) TheTravelingClatt FILIPINO FOOD! ULTIMATE Philippines Food Taste Test! Divisoria Market! Today we eat FILIPINO FOOD! We head to Metro …

Wanna watch my entire Philippines trip! Playlist begins here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uD7mNU7qsUA&list=PLzHRSHS9p7Ss-ZFLbunDn9KDjFmbjnfq5&index=1

Yes!!!! I love the Philippines 💖✨

Now this is a real food trip. Probably the best one I’ve seen so far out in Manila!

Divisoria is always crazy! It’s was a good move to keep your backpack in front. With all the people there, you never know what could happen. I’m impressed that you and Jack are willing to try the different street foods. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to future vlogs!

We will be leaving for Manila tomorrow and can’t wait to try each as much Filipino food and dessert as possible. Maybe not as adventurous as you (definitely not balut) but nonetheless as excited.

You actually braved Divi. Damn. I live here and even I don’t mess with Divi this time around. Hats off man! It’s also great that you went for real street food. 👌 silog means SInangag + itLOG which means fried rice and egg. You should try sisig in a hot plate with local beer not rice. The sisig you got in a styro container doesn’t look like a proper sisig. Good luck!

Silog is a short combined name for Sinangag and Itlog. Sinangag – Fried RiceItlog – EggThen include the different meats:Tapa – Beef ——-> thus the name TAPSILOG (Beef, Egg and Fried Rice)

I was starting to worry about you and Jack when you haven’t uploaded for 4 days. You are a braver person than I am; I haven’t been to Divisoria in years! And as for the balut, I only like the “broth” and the yellow part, so I just eat penoy. Enjoy exploring Manila!

You made Divisoria looked adventurous and fun. I’m always stressed everytime we have to go there, even though i live nearby divi. Haha

yes dude! KEEP EATING 🙂

This is one of the better filipino street food vlogs that I’ve seen. I’m glad that you were able to try a lot of local delicacies and was even brave enough to eat food at the streets of divisoria. Thank you for making this video. 🙂

I am loving the “rawness” of this vlog and the food review of filipino food is legit! I am a fan. Keep up the good work!

Tal, these videos are really solid. I’ve never seen any video blogs like the ones you have in your channel, probs the best one out there. I’m a Filipino but I’ve never eaten so many things like you’ve shown in this video. I’ve subscribed myself from your channel and can’t wait for the other videos. Have fun! Thanks a lot for showing the Philippines.

Silog Si- sinangag in Filipino is fried riceLog for itlog or eggTap for tapaToci for tocinoAnd the list goes on. So fun watching you trying outFilipino street foods. More power 👍👍👍

crazy how Manila is so busy, im from the Philippines, but im from the southern island..sooo different from the province that i live in, i dont think i can live there..😂😂😂

Welcome to the Philippines! Wow, kinda brave of you guys to go and check out divisoria, during -ber months, it’s crazy out there. Good thing you’re with someone who knows the area because whenever I go there, I usually end up getting lost haha! Hope you found some friends already

Wow i love your admiration to filipino foods and to the philippines itself. Mabuhay! 😍❤️

Man you’re making me hungry with all that street food!,

I loved everything about this video! how you manage to roam around divisoria (I can’t even stand to be there with bunch of people for a few minutes 😂 lol) and having your bags in front, riding a tricycle, giving honest to goodness reactions with all those strange foods 😂 this is so epic! Subbed! ⭐ps. **️chicken sisig is good, but pork sisig is way way better (especially the crispy pork sisig) 😂 **try the dessert buko pandan, what you had is a drink.**and also the isaw, fried is okay, but you should try the grilled version of it. It’s more savory/flavorful.

This vlog made me miss my own country a lot.. 🙁 Filipino food is AWESOME
