WOMEN ON A CARGO SHIP?!? – Q&A on Cargo / Container Ship Travel
(c) TheTravelingClatt WOMEN ON A CARGO SHIP?!? – Cargo / Container Ship Travel. Today we explore the aspect of Women on a cargo ship! This is …
I did a solo trip from LA to New Zealand and your ship was a lot nicer than mine, however, the crew was really cool and the Capt was very nice too…As a girl, I had no problems at all and felt very safe. The guy that was supposed to be the ship medical guy drank a lot, lolol he was cool too. And the night sky was amazing, even saw the milky way.
Wow. So happy to have a first hand video of the life of a seafarer. Theres a huge market for these informational videos, and I’m proud to see someone creating and sharing them. Keep it up man.
another great video with q and a. im a female cargo ship worker ^^ fun to see this, following and checking more videos!
About the stars at night; we had full darken ship on an aircraft carrier when we were 650 miles from the nearest land once and I was stuck up on the flight deck since we were not allowed to use our flashlights. We couldn’t even see to move. Me and a buddy were on the wing of one of our planes just looking at the stars. We were there in absolutely no light whatsoever for almost 50 minutes. He’s right, you can’t describe it.If you’ve ever heard someone laugh at how humans used to worship the sky you can bet they never saw a real night sky before. It’s intense, some would call it magical, and very humbling. It doesn’t matter who you are you aren’t as great as that sight.Great video!
I’ve been traveling by cargo ship as a single female since I was 20. Years later I even took my two small children on one when they and I moved to France. Out of all the things in the world I’ve done, it is my favorite thing to do. The passengers are far more interesting than on cruise ships and the same applies to the crew. You learn what it’s like to live in their countries and make friends for life. It gives you the personal space to think creatively, to slow down and become a lot closer to the world around you. If I could, I’d live on one!
Dude I was in the navy for 5 years and I find this kinda humorous. My last deployment we were underway for 7 months and only had port calls in Haifa Israel 3 times. And there were no women on the ship at that time.Try that for fun
LMAO at the sphere answer… “The captain just doesn’t wanna go around!” HAHAHA #Greatness
Your humour sure does help in dealing with the vicissitudes of cargo ship travel
you are so inspiring , your vlogs are unique , i love the way you all make that stuff,,,,,,,
Would getting a TWIC card (https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic) help you with getting through the ports easier?
We encountered pirates in the Mediterranean. They pretended to be refugees stranded at sea to trick us to bring them on board.
here’s the big question my wife and I both work here in California I work for the Port of Long Beach at SSA terminal my wife works for APM terminal and she’s a crane operator just like I and I always look and wonder what I ever fit in as a visitor on a ship to go overseas I would love to go overseas and explore the world like you are but the question is are you allowed to help out with anything on the ship just to make the time go by faster please email me some information on where I can purchase a ticket to go from one port to another port or should I say from the u.s. to an overseas Port that would be awesome I’ve been following you and I hit the Subscribe button about 7 months ago. It’s always great to see someone on a cargo ship or an auto ship so please email me like I explain to you so that way I can get some sort of information I’ll leave my email at the end of these comments. billingsjoe37@yahoo.com
On Royal Caribbean cruise ships you can see amazing skies as most of their ships allow people access to heli-pad at the bow, and late at night all the lights are off in front of the bridge so as to not interfere with navigation.
4:43 You should see the starry night at 4500m above sea level. I trekked to Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal this summer and I can’t remember ever seeing the night sky as starry as that.
Last question & answer had me rollin’ 😀 Thanks for the funny take on some of these questions…
They don’t give a damn in France either when it comes to pass port control. Been through there several times when entering the EU and its a pain trying to explain to security from another EU country ( within the Schengen Zone ) when one goes to depart and there is no entry stamp on ones passport. So much for having one of theses fancy digital US passports……
Wonderful video footage! Here at Y&S FOOD! we love to notice these kind of contents. We create Travel & Food videos too, across the world, and therefore we are habitually seeking for inspirations as well as ideas. Thank You.
It’s amazing the sphere-earthers are still asking this question.
If you were a woman, would you feel safe travelling on cargo ships?
Oh! CargoShip Boy! The more I hear you talking about this, the more I want to try…

That drone clips are breath-taking. That waterfall is fascinating. The Dude, I’m extremely jealous right now. Samal Island is now on my bucket list.
This country blows me away!!! So beautiful! Living your best life!
Smiling the whole time you guys were swimming, I felt the joy! Difinitely adding to my list of destination 👌
The Philippines looks incredible! Great video always bro!
Samal is really beautiful.I’m a proud Samaleño❤️
Keep these beautiful videos coming! I am from Davao and I love Samal Island. Hagimit waterfalls is a really go to place!
Samal is so beautiful itravel there and the white sand beach is incredible… I hope you enjoy the island…
Awesome adventure. 👍 Amazing fresh water streams and little waterfalls. Tons of freaking bats. What a day to spend chilling and exploring.
Kaputian changed a lot. I went there in 2005 and slept in the cabin for the nigth. We had nearly all the beach for ourselves. make a barbecue on the beach. Enjoyed beautiful sunset. So nice experience. I back there in 2008 with friends again only for a couple of hours while on a Island Hopping day. They enjoyed it very much especially the children. Now, tourism is blooming in Davao and Kaputian doesn’t look the same 😉 There are lot of nice places in Davao !
Fantastic vlog Tal love to your watch travel vlogs as soon as your upload. Philippines is a very beautiful country brother I have made alot of friends through YouTube even though I still haven’t visited this country. It’s anyway in my bucket list oneday for sure. Thanks for sharing such an amazing content much love suppa💙
That’s the actual rent price for scooters in Samal (800 for roughly 8hrs), I know that, I’m a local from Davao and we’ve rented scooters a couple of times to go around the island. The price is also the same for Davao City rental scooters. You may be surprised on how far it is compared to rental scooters in Visayas (especially in Dumaguete where you can only get a scooter rental for 300 a day), but knowing how you bargained the price down to 400, not bad, not bad at all! 🙂
Samal Island is beautiful! Waterfalls are awesome & the color!! Beaches white sands & water are so clear!! Love the “star spangled” sea floor!! Will visit it 4 sure!
Awesome editing as always! Given other peoples’ attitudes towards Mindanao it’s great you’re showcasing all of these cool places there!!!
Watching from Dubai!!! Amazing vlog! There are more beautiful places in Samal, must see is also Isla Reta located in Talikud Island. ❤️❤️❤️
Welcome to Davao ! Thanks for featuring the majestic beauty of nature in Davao 🙂
I live in samal island and i am pretty ashamed on how some of those “Habal-Habal” drivers. They offer tourists overpriced fares. The local government issued a standard fare rates for all destinations and they do not follow such.
Wow showing beautiful tourist n nature places..even some filipinos never been there, got to see ur blogs..enjoy ur tour bro
Great work travellingclat im a fan of your channel. As someone who has lived in davao city and been to samal i can give a very accurate assessment. Some parts of samal are beautiful no doubt about it, but theres a lot of poverty and you will encounter frequent brownouts year round. The other thing is In samal island ,or any island in mindanao there is no coast guard or much security you MUST be extremely careful.in 2015 3 foreigners and one of their girlfriends were kidnapped for ransom from holiday oceanview marina in samal island late at night. When the abu sayaff terrorists demands for ransom were not met the 2 elderly canadians were BEHEADED. Most likely its ok to go to samal in the daytime but im not totally confident about that either. Just beware. If you are in a big city in in mindanao like davao city cagayan de oro or general santos theres lots of security…where you have a problem or potentially find yourself in a extremely dangerous situation where you could get kidnapped for ransom is when you go to more rural areas like samal island.
Spent my sunday watching your videos. Being stuck in Manila, I miss travelling so I love watching your vids. Even if its going to the mall or going around the city or province, I like watching. Makes me feel like I went somewhere for the weekend.
Lisbon Portugal Travel Guide: Lisboa Portugal Travel Tips
(c) TheTravelingClatt Lisbon Portugal Travel Guide – Lisboa Portugal Travel Tips. Today in Lisbon we explore a travel guide on Portugal! Lisbon is …
Just a small correction: the Pastis de Belm are Pastis de Belm, not pastis de nata. The ones from Belm have a secret recipe, exclusive to them, and they are trademarked. Other pastry shops tried to make them but since they didn’t know the recipe and they couldn’t use the same name, they came up with a similar pastry and called it Pastel de Nata.
Great vdeo. Just one thing, the beautiful palace on top of the mountain is Palcio da Pena. The “Palcio Nacional” is in the centre of Sintra. Is the one with the massive chimneys. 😉
Lisbon looks so beautiful. I hope to visit some day
Super helpful video! Was thinking of visiting Lisbon this spring and I think your video helped to solidify my leaning towards the idea of going.
Oh boy, how I loved to call this place my hometown for several years!! Tip: when you buy a transport ticket in the bus-, metro- or trainstation it will also allow you to go up with the funicular or elevador de Santa Justa for the regular trip price which will be around 1,45 euro a trip.
Looking this while being in quarantine, looking forward to travel again 🤩
Great video, we are also doing a series on Lisbon. It is such a beautiful city.
“There are tourist everywhere” yeah and you’re one of them lol. Every travel vlogger I swear
I am from Spain and know Portugal very well. I do not agree about small portions in Spain. Tapas and pintxos are what they are but you can get a menu del dia, which normally includes 2 or 3 courses with wine, water and dessert anywhere from 8 to 15 euros. In fact, you get much better deals in Spain. In Spain you get free food with your drinks in many cities while in Portugal they will bring out small portions of food when you sit down at restaurants (without asking for it) and then you get charged for it. For reference, I am from Spain, went to Portugal frequently and live in the US. I also own a travel agency and have taken hundreds of Americans to Europe.
I’ve been interested visiting Portugal for a while now but I’m always worried about the cost of traveling out of the United States. Japan is one place I’d like to go to but it’s pretty pricey. I’ve traveled to Mexico to visit family on my mom’s side but that’s about it. A friend online told me it’s actually not that costly to visit Portugal. I think it’d be an interesting place to travel to.
The colorful castle is Palacio da Pena… Palacio Nacional is the one with the huge white chimneys
In case you don’t know, the real Portuguese name for Lisbon in Portugal is”Lisboa”with an”a”instead of an”n”!
126th view, 15th like and possibly 7th comment. Wow really interesting city, mix of history and beauty. I am curious if the egg pastry is similar to a Chinese egg custard? Visually they look similar. Great video! So good to see you!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!
Have a 7 hour layover in lisbon in June so this was a perfect video for me, couldent find many on youtube. Lovin the videos
Great footage. Was it easy to get permission to fly there?
Damn Lisbon looks so dope dude!
SIMPLY Very Good To Watch For Knowing, Feeling, Enjoying And Relaxing. Thanks So Much For Sharing. SNR.
The cities like San Francisco and Rio de Janeiro combine
I went to Pasteis de Belem in June. We were there before it opened, and only a handful of people came after us, so we all got right in, no wait. I think it was on a Sunday or Monday.
New York City Public Transportion Guide – Subways, Buses, & Ferries EXPLAINED!
(c) TheTravelingClatt New York City Public Transportion Guide – Subways, Buses, & Ferries EXPLAINED! So today we’ll talk about New York …
Make sure to watch my New York City Guide!https://youtu.be/SxB06AR0s7k
I applaud your bravery, good sir. Not many newcomers are willing to explore every nook and cranny of NYC and give that knowledge to others who are not familiar with it.(I’m a native New Yorker)
“Add Time” or “Add Value” is the most existential question a subway ticket machine will ever ask you!
A game with the entire actual subway system that allows players to free roam would be awesome
A poem for you:” No adventure is too small, especially if your name is Tal, with all of your amazing traveling, so many great videos unraveling, it’s always great to be a Clatt, and I will always be that!”
_im literally OBSESSED with your channel since 2017, please never stop!!!!!!!_
It’s confusing at first but once you get used it it’s easier to navigate. I know the subway map like the back of my hand
Hi Tal thank you for the very useful information! Jon is a great and very supportive collaborator! Awesome vlog!
Yes, great info. I was a bit intimidated by the confusion I felt over the subway when I first moved to NY.
Good tips but I always found transport was pretty good… confusing at first but the swipe.. cards are fun..
Man. Both of you are great. I frequent NYC about 4 times a Year. I have done everything except the paid Ferry. I love NYC. I have been all over and you all have helped a great deal. Love it love it love it
Hey, your videos are great. Thanks a lot for doing this and sharing lots of helpful information. I am wondering if you are offering guided tours.
One thing to note about LIRR & Metro North is you can buy your tickets on the MTA eTix app to avoid any issues with carrying paper tickets
I would say the most confusing part of NYC subway is the time schedule of trains. Some of them are running local or Express at certain times in a specific part of the line. The map is not designed to provide that information
I love your video. You actually took your time to explain even how to swipe ! I hope you’re good and happy . Thank you so much
The most messy part of the NYC subway is that trains from different routes can arrive at the SAME platform at the station
the fact that Chambers Street is DIRECTLY under the NYC Municipal building .. speaks volumes! Thanks for your insight!
such a great guide for newbies coming into NYCi should have made one of these LOL
To be honest I’m skeptical of taxis, as they tend to leave the meter running and they charge you more than the original price. Or so I’m told.
Currently waiting at JFK to go back home, stayed here in NYC for 8 days with my wife, I got all my NYC tips from you and John! Thanks so much
LITTLE MANILA NYC HAS FILIPINO FOOD! – The Philippines in New York City!
(c) TheTravelingClatt LITTLE MANILA NYC HAS FILIPINO FOOD! – The Philippines in New York City! Today we venture to Queens to New York’s Little …
Wow! Nice seeing you going to places I frequent a lot. Funny I didn’t see you there. Also, if you’re wondering why the Peach Mango Pie tastes different is because the ingredients from Jollibee US are from California, rather than the Philippines.
You guys are in our hood! Queens has the best food to offer in the entire state of NY. Whether you’re looking for Filipino, Afghan, Polish, Brazilian food- we have it all here. 😊
Funny and happy to see tal telling his foreigner friends on what filipino foods they should try out and should not #talfilipinopride
Tal, have you tried Lily’s Peanut Butter? it’s tastier than the peanut butter here in the USA…it’s kinda like how Purefoods Corned Beef tastes different from the corned beef here in the US. It goes well with as a spread in that Pandesal! Get it next time you are in a Filipino grocery store, I think you’ll love it! Another fave sweet is Chocnut…another classic pinoy product!!!!!Loved your NYC vlogs…I gotta try that Champion Dollar pizza, and the kosher foods…I used to work in SoHo…and I live just across the river in Jersey City…been a subscriber since your Divisoria market vlog….really admire your swimming ability, like the one you were swimming in Mindoro, my childhood home was in Marinduque, next island to Mindoro, visit it next time you are there…it’s known for Moriones Festival during holy week. I’ve never been to El Nido but when I visit there maybe next year, I’d like to stay in Rovics tourist hotel, just like your group did…what happened to that Swedish girl freida? Any chance u can give me her contact info?;) (I’m a loyal subscriber and I got and use your coffee mug every morning…luv u long time…)
Tal.. I think you’ve just broke the internet AGAIN !! #ClattForLife .. Awesome seeing you in my city.
Mum, Sir! I see that the four months you spent in the Philippines made you into a bonafide lover of Filipino food and culture. And for that you are truly a Pinoy by heart.
I love how you film about the philippines and showing our filipino culture, and I also love the background music.😉👍 And I know now that you are a filipino at heart.😍 Thank you ThetravelingClatt!😁👏
I feel so amazed and overwhelmed to you bro. Bcoz even if ur not already here in 🇵🇭 u still showing what Philippines taste and looks. Thank you and be back soon here haha take care

Thank you so much guys we appreciated filipinos all things you’ve done Godbless always and more power we love you, more subscribers and videos. ❤
Catching up on some videos I’ve missed. This one was fun (well they all are!). I’m reminded that I have to go to the Jollibees here in Chicago and try it out! Especially the pie. Also find some Red Horse. However, if I happen to drink one on a beach I’ll be sure to bring a bottle opener. 🙂
You really love philippine food guys Kudos! salamat kuya Clatt <3 more suppport
