This actually has a practical application in off-roading as you won’t slip ((contrary to normal bike sending power to wheel which has relatively less traction ) , however you could improve the steering mechanism to similar for better off-road steering.., ( moreover the legs pushing the ground at an angle paired with nails at end ( or something that Pierce’s the ground for strong hold ) would also be helpful on muddy surface

6 years ago I did this for a competetion in grade 10. Now, Iam a Robotics engineer and doing a automated 6 axis arm.

Thanks heaps btw for this, made this last year with my Year 10 students and was a huge success. Going to be doing the same thing this year :). Only thing am wondering is where did you get the tubes from (I ended up buying clothing tubes which did the job but were shorter) and the metal wire (I ended up using hangers where I cut up pieces with pliers and bent them but didn’t quite get them to be that accurately bent).

As someone who operates backhoes this is awesome.
