At first i thought it was an odd angle to graft a branch, then they changed the planting angle and i thought “the tree looks better but that’s surely making the grafted branch angle worse”, then when he pointed at the bud i was like “OHHHHHHH”. 👍 Bigger plot twist than the 6th sense.

Your composition is really beautiful.

I do not think most realise the skill that Shohin bonsai express. To keep a tree that small for those lengths of time and still have it not just survive but thrive proves an in depth understanding of all relevant knowledge and principles. Best practice does not produce such results. The art of bonsai goes way beyond proper horticultural practices as its ancient and the skills and knowledge were handed down generationally, its on another level completely.
