And a month later it goes in the garbage because it gets overgrown 😂 for those who don’t know, dragon fruit grows on large, extremely fast growing “vining” cacti. Would have made way more sense to use chia seed or something.

This is cool, but I think I’ll germinate just a few seeds and try to grow dragonfruit.😏

That’s not a bonsai, that’s a topiary.

That’s gonna be a fun project to clean up when it becomes Dragon fruit lol…

Looked like a chia pet to me. What do you do when the sprouts grow out too create dragon fruit plants?

I think it’s topiary not bonsai. Would they live longer?

This is not a bonsai at all. Like, not even close. At best, it’s “sculptural seed sprouting”.It’s not any of the proper forms, it’s not reminiscent of a mature tree in miniature form, there’s no landscape aspect, there’s no dead wood, there’s no patient care and vision over decades…It’s just entirely missing all the things that make bonsai what they are.

Seems like an awful lot of work for a glorified chia pet.

Why would you waste dragonfruit like that when chia seeds would be more than enough for that?

A lot of work but a very cool result. Well done.

The bonsai may just be temporary. The seedlings could grow into bigger plants in no time at all. The round things may not be able to hold it.

Dragonfruit forms like 10 ft, climbing, cactusy strands that can be as thick as a child’s arm. And it grows that way quickly. How is this project anything except a colossal, disposable waste of time?

I live in western North Carolina…when we can find whole dragon fruit in the markets, it is kind of expensive & I love the taste. I’d love to try growing it, but I can’t just waste an entire pitaya on a project that won’t support healthy growth. This was a cool looking thing, but I’d rather see a successful propagation of plants that will support fruit! I managed to sprout a pineapple plant from the crown cuttings, so I’d like to try with other plants.

That is beautiful

FELICIDADES, ME GUSTA MUCHO LÁSTIMA QUE NO COMPRENDO ÉL IDIOMA, GRACIAS!!!) ROSARIO ARGENTINA 🌾🇦🇷🌾🇦🇷🌾🇦🇷🌾🇦🇷

En la cuarentena esto era perfecto ,porque tenamos tiempo

Very nice… But how to maintain this… Maintenance is a big part of any decoration…

Gostei! Obrigado !

That is one way to grow dragonfruit cactus or just use bird feed seeds instead of wasting a dragon fruit and throwing away whole project.

Looks amazing, nice work. But still a little bit questionable. I did a lot air layering on different plants. Not sure only 15 days you can get roots? Potato kind of just provide a moist environment, I do think it contains any significant rooting hormones to strongly promote root development. I once used tissue paper or paper towels to successfully root rose, which is same as this. Additionally naked very limited roots to support the whole branches with flowers is kind of not realistic. I always use root ball with decent root systems to grow, it should be reasonable.

What I would like to know if that can be done with other plants, flowers, even fruit tress, etc?

Buenos día que hermosas plantas Felicidades 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏⚘🌹🇨🇷Dios te bendiga.

我好喜欢这个频道的节目哦💖😳😳😳

Potato seems to be useless, the roots were germinated above it. You should try again with the patato but without compost

Good to know and learn to grow Rose’s beautiful 😍🤩🤩😍

If you stick potato then what is the use of coir pit? It’s beautiful only to see.

Muy buena forma de hacer nuevas plantas y fcil gracias por ensear hacer nuevos esquejes!!
