ALIEN SHRIMP Thailand Street Food
(c) Travel Thirsty Watch live Stomatopods being prepared and eaten in Thailand, one female with eggs and one male. Called “sea locusts” by ancient Assyrians, “prawn killers” in …
I don’t think I’ve ever seen shrimp actually alive flopping around like that
Mantis shrimp are pretty amazing creatures. They have the most complex eyes in the animal kingdom with 16 different color cones in their eyes compared to our 3. They are ultra voracious shallow water predators and have been known to hunt In rivers. Sub-species with claws use them tl smash their prey so fast that they produce an underwater shockwave that stuns them even if the claw misses. The sub-species with spines strike as fast but spear their prey or human hands if in self defense earning them the nickname thumb splitters. They can live for decades and mate for life. So those two in the video could have been husband and wife.
I love to see how other cultures eat different things!😀It’s amazing!😀😀😀💝
I have never seen these shrimp before! Wow! Hope they taste good!
These are called “galeras” in southern Spain. We eat them steamed and they look soooo much better than deep fried… honestly. It is curious to see how they are captured. Mantis shrimp are also cooked on a short pasta/rice stew called “guiso de galeras”. Enjoy!
R.I.P. shrimp. They will truly be delicious. I mean missed.
It’s called mantis shrimps and it’s really delicious when deep fried. Although I’ve never had it in a whole form. Now I’m craving for it in a middle of a coronavirus lockdown lol
This video was posted 3 years ago, it’s now Nov 2020 and from the look of that oil they’re probably still topping it up.
Finally some creatures that I acknowledged. In my area which is Đồ Sơn, it can be called : bề bề or tôm búa. Extremely delicious
Why in the hell is this so interesting, I can’t stop watching.
Thats the thing they dropped in Neo’s belly button from the Matrix
Boa arte culinria!
All I’m gonna say it looks delicious 😋
I appreciate that the shrimp are chilled to sleep, and then the first cut is right through the cerebral ganglion. Very Humane
저는 맨티스 새우가 사냥하는 모습을 보면서 경이로움마저도 느꼈는데 인간 앞에서는 아무런 힘조차 쓰지 못하고 그냥 요리가 되어버리는군요…
This shrimp developed armour that’s been evolved over hundreds of years to defend it from predators and rivals alike. Gets chopped in half by a pair of scissors
This shrimp is literally so fucking good I cannot y’all need to try it 💯🤤
Beautiful colouring on these beasties while still alive. Look well tasty too 😋, although I’d prefer them uncooked and still twitching I think. Good to see them sedated with ice.
Я уверен что они людей тоже едят😂😂
Охренеть кто их придумал))

Q prato lindo e intetessante👍💐💐
If they brought that to my table I would eat it all and not share any of it. It’s so beautiful, feeds the eyes stomach and soul.
This dish is called Kanom Jeen Nam Prik which is fermented rice noodle (kanom jeen) and the coconut curry/sauce (nam prik). The curry is coconut and mung beans based with lots of herbs, kaffir lime and spicy chilli oil. Traditionally, it is served with deep fried veggies on the side. The recipe and presentation in this video though looks like a royal Thai cuisine dish with the shrimps and edible flowers etc. I love this dish. You have the curry that have a balance of sweet, nutty, sour and spicy flavours, and you get to eat it with the noodle and crunchy vegs! Perfect summer food.
E as louças e a apresentação 💕😍
Lindo demais!
What a beautiful dish! And it looks so yummy : )
After watching a soba noodle video this caught my eye. I love thai food. But this confused the hell out of me in the noodle making process lol. Did not expect the turnout to be paste squeezed through a tube. This dish makes me feel both gross and intrigued at the same time because of the visual combination of macerated paste like consistency paired with beautifully fried edible flowers, fresh herb toppings and colorful noodles. Love that it’s traditionally authentic and looks absolutely delectable. Watching the video just gave me mixed feelings lol. Excited to try this in Thailand.
Omg the rain is making it so much more enjoyable to watch.
Their serving dishes are beautiful!!!
This looks really pretty. With food, presentation means everything. I would definitely give this a try
Flores coloridas fritas….igual no Dorama Chocolate.💕👏👏🇧🇷

I love the sound of the knife slicing through the dough. It’s so comforting.

ALIEN EGGS Japanese Street Food
(c) Travel Thirsty
For the people that are wondering what this is, it’s Tako Tamago. Tako Tamago are octopus eggs! They are either eaten raw, or cooked, like in the video. Thank you for reading and have a nice day! 😀
Ive always wanted to know how to cook breast implant
I just got to know that an octopus lays eggs only once in its lifetime and she spends all her energy in caring for it and she dies around the time the eggs hatch 🥺😓
Благодарю Бога!Что я казашка!Наша еда, пища это мясо.
Ah yes, the perfect thing to watch when having a breakdown
They translated “octopus eggs” in Japanese into “eggs of foreigners”. That took me by surprise ngl
такое чувство что если прилетят инопланетяне то японцы их просто съедят с соевым соусом . причем приготовление выложат в ютуб ))
I’ve never seen this kind of eggs before.really wonderful.👍
There are truly some strange strange in this mysterious world of ours! Fascinating but I have to pass LOL!
I’ve had alien eggs before and I can tell you those are definitely not alien eggs!

Alien egg. We haven’t seen an actual alien but Japan is already eating their egg.Edit: I saw the small eggs and it reminds me of the worms in manga/anime. I can’t……
When he cut open the egg, I literally screamed out WTF

Que delicia quantos temperos, coisa linda com flores deve da pena de comer.
What a stunning and beautiful presentation, Chef! I enjoyed watching you prepare the food, at times your hands seemed to be moving like a ballet. The only thing that would make the experience better would be to have captions with the ingredient names. Of course, being able to smell the aromas and taste the dish if something the internet has yet to manage! : )
