How Expensive is Traveling in Albania? It’s Super Cheap!

How Expensive is Traveling in Albania? It's Super Cheap! (c) Gabriel Traveler

(c) Gabriel Traveler In this video I spend a day in Albania and show how much things cost. PLANNING A BUDGET TRAVELING TRIP? “Gabe’s Guide …

This is the website I use the most for booking accommodation while I travel. Huge selection and you can find some great deals on hotels, apartments and hostels: https://www.booking.com/index.html?aid=1724899

I have watched many of your great videos. looks like we are doing the same kind of travelling, you went there right after me. I stayed right in the center of the Skoder for same price but maybe a little better room. And I did my home work before I go there, therefore I visited places with plan.

Albania is nice country with friendly people greetings from Poland😍😍

i’m Albanian girl and currently Live in italy…but missing so much my country…i was seen your all tour trip and id like all that you did…let me tell you that Albania is Amazing Place and will you’d visit the South albanian if you like see a sea and the mountain in the seems time (my english its so low, sorry) bye and happy Holiday in Albania!!

I grew up most of my life in Shkodr. It’s such a beautiful city. I was feeling bit homesick tonight and this video lifted my spirits a bit. As a kid, the Rozafa Castle was such an amazing place to explore! The people, the city, the castle, the lake, as you noted the cheap prices, they all make for a great childhood. I don’t know if you’re into history, but if you are, this book is a great read: https://goo.gl/AK9gqa My dad was actually the one to translate it into english. Thanks again for the video!

Magnificent Albania 🇦🇱 big love ❤️ has from Dubai 🇦🇪

Albania is beautiful I just went to skoder last summer to see my family and I’m a kid and I’m proud to be an albanian🇦🇱

Greetings. Here is a little tip for you. If you go to a restaurant with no prices listed in the menu, just walk away. Once you have eaten, they can charge you whatever they want, and it is usually an extortionate price for tourists. This is a well known scam going on all over the world.Have a safe trip.

Great video! i really loved Albania 🇦🇱 when i visited back in December 2019, friendly people, beautiful nature and affordable prices! 🙂

Croats and Albanians friends forever 💪🇭🇷🇦🇱💪

I am from Albania and its so beautiful

definitely not much of a tourist destination, but its places like that , that I would love to visit.

I love how you wing it, your usual style! I was winging it in Paris and got so lost but found some of the most beautiful hidden parks, rues and food

Fast food in the Us has gotten more expensive since min wage went up, sad. Hard to believe other countries are really cheap on their food & drinks. Thank you for doing these videos, it is greatly appreciated. You’re awesome Gabriel 🙂

Thank You for your video it was really informative !! Im going to Albania in a couple days and I’m very excited. I was nervous at first probably because I’ve never been before but can’t wait to document my experience !! 😍 Greetings and well wishes from London 🇬🇧✌🏽

Most people in albania tend to avoid the heat during the day, in particular the elderly and kids, especially as the region currently going through extreme heat. Official advise is to avoid going out during the hours of 12pm – 7pm, stay indoor and keep cool, hence why you don’t see many people during the day. Most people in Albania have their siesta (an afternoon rest or nap, especially one taken during the hottest hours of the day in a hot climate) and stay up until late at night. Is a common sight to see little kids playing outdoors after midnight. Barely anyone works in August as everyone heads for the beaches or mountains. Just to add, yes, it is true that you can find some really good deals in Albania if you don’t mind being next to the beach or close to city/town centers. For some reason many people are willing to pay double the cost just to be a few yards closer to the beach or town center’s.

I love the way you wing it lol. Anytime I’m traveling if I feel out of place I just watch your videos and than I feel relaxed enough to just explore without worry.

Just come from a nice trip I did to Shkoder, Albania. On my way there I also visited Budva and Bari, Montenegro. All I can say what a great, great places, many people don’t know they existed and not many traveling agencies advertise them, but I can say the most breathtaking place to visit. I’ll recommend anyone to visit these little countries that are dominated by the big EU countries/

wow,Gabriel,I can’t believe you had never heard of tagliatelle. You live in the states with loads of Italian food and you never heard of tagliatelle,oh well,it looked good though, better than what you might get in many Italian restaurants in UK.Oh and thanks again for doing another nice travelogue from a place I would never of thought of visiting.I think you do these places justice.

Hope someday i Will visit this beautifull country !! Greetings from Rio de Janeiro Brazil😆

Denmark Travel: How Expensive is COPENHAGEN?

Denmark Travel: How Expensive is COPENHAGEN? (c) Gabriel Traveler

(c) Gabriel Traveler In this video I explore Copenhagen, Denmark and show how much things cost. PLANNING A BUDGET TRAVELING TRIP?

Just to explain the public transportation in Cph:A single ticket for a standard city trip costs 24kr and can be bought at ticket machines around the stations (also underground!) Copenhagen is divided into fare zones, but if you don’t have a zone map, just plot in your desired destination, and the machine will tell you the price :)All forms of public transportation in Copenhagen uses the same tickets, so if you’re going by metro and then local train and afterwards a bus, you still only need that one ticket from your starting point to you final destination. This is by far the most expensive way of using public transportation in CPH as there are a lot of discounts to get if you are planning to use it more than just a few times. For most travelers I would recommend downloading an app called DOT-Mobilbilletter where you can buy single tickets, 10-times tickets and some day passes for the entire CPH-metro area which should be considered if you’re planning a daytrip to either Elsinore or Frederiksborg Castle (or both) The app is translated into English and is quite easy to navigate (at least I think so) :)The 10trips are 10 two zone trips, which costs 150kr. Actually you get a stock of 20 zones to spend freely, so it is still possible to use your 10trip ticket for a 3zones trip. But then you’ll end up with only 9 trips. If you’re planning to do a lot of 3, 4 or 5 zone trips you should definitely get a travel card :)The cheapest way of traveling in Copenhagen though is to get a travel card. As a tourist you can only get these at the Central station and at Nørreport station. You load a desired amount of money to your card account, and can then use it until you run out. Reloading you card can be done at most stations (just ask some locals). When you’re traveling with the travel card you need to check in at the station before boarding the train and check out when you’ve reached your destination. You need to check out each time you change to a new kind of transportation. But don’t worry, you won’t be charged double for that reason. Do remember to check out! If you don’t you’ll be charged a fee of 10€. The price is almost always cheapest with the travel card. A standard 2zone single ticket is between 12-15kr with the travel card and if you’re traveling to Elsinore or Roskilde the differences between the two gets even greater!I know the public transportation system here is very difficult and not very tourist friendly! It’s also quite expensive, so there’s so much money to save! In all honesty I would just rent a bike really 😂

Been to Copenhagen several times now (Feb ’17 latest) and your summaries and observations are pretty spot on from my experience. Copenhagen is totally rock’n roll and a very “newbie to foreign travel” friendly. DO NOT get a car, get a very cheap rental bike and pretend to be a groovy European. 🙂

I live in Copenhagen, and often gets asked by foreigners if it’s expensive. As a local it’s what I’m used to, and happy to have found this video now, I can just them instead of trying to explain myself 😀

love your videos i think 3 to 4 days would be good to visit but ive been to iceland and holland and would prefer to do iceland again with pools and more exotic scenery

Something tells me that you won’t be in Copenhagen long with those prices. But, it looks like a beautiful city. Prices are in line with the touristy areas of Southern California. I think after getting ahold of a map in a new country you/we need to get ahold of a local resident and find out where to eat and buy stuff…like any other country. 😉

Love the video and you capture everything which some people tend to cut out. I was In Copenhagen last year for a 11 hr layover, heading back to California from Prague. I gotta say it was pricier than London and Prague in my European trip but I fell in love with the city. That’s a pretty neat Hostel you stayed at, reminded of the Copenhagen Downtown Hostel which had the similar style and amenities for half the price. Watching this video made me miss Copenhagen and hoping to visit again in the near future. Keep up the great videos!

It is funny to watch these videos about Copenhagen (I live 3 km from the city center). It is very different to see other people’s perception of the city and the bikes. The bikes always seem to surprise people. The way to pronounce Copenhagen is more like copenheygen, the way you say it, it sounds German. Danes don’t have great history with Germans. 😉 haha. But I’m glad you enjoyed the city.

When I went to Copenhagen I bought a hot dog at the very same kiosk, cant believe it.You just brought too many good memories to my head…Thanks man! Great vid as always.

Gabriel, enjoy your travel videos very informative. How do you make a living? How are you able to travel to all these cities workout working a job?

By far the best travel guides on youtube , keep up the good work Gabriel you’ve helped me out many a time

The more videos I see of Copenhagen the more excited I get! Love your videos man. Happy traveling 🙂

Gabriel thanks for sharing your Copenhagen adventures…Nice to know how much it costs to visit. Have a good safe journey to Berlin. Looking forward to your videos from Germany! Thanks

Hello Gabe, I enjoy your ‘How Expensive Is’ videos. your book Gabe’s guide to budget travel was great. keep up the good work.

i love denmark..such a beautiful place

Well, a danish hostel is usually a bit overprice (taking advantage of turists even though the prices arnt robbery). If you buy Beer at the Netto (discount) shop you visited you could easily get a 6x pack beer can pack (2 litres) for $10 if its a “nice brand” or half that if its just their own beer label. Also if you stay clear of the usual turist trap “fine restaurants” that normal people dont visit either then you can easily find the usual chinese, thai, pizza, barbecue, fryup or similar cheapo shop with more human prices. That being said food prices is at a all time high in Denmark.

Do you stabilize your camera? It’s so stable haha!!That hostel looks great! The lockers below the bed are such a good idea.It seems so pricey though! We did an airbnb in Copenhagen and it worked out super cheap – like 29 per night for two of us I think :)But it was in Soborg – so we needed to bus in each day. It was good for a private room though! It looks so nice in May – we visited in January and it was so cold and got dark so early! We really want to go back in summer! Are you planning a trip to Christiania at all? We loved it there 🙂

Generally, don’t do your shopping or dining in the city center. There are so many tourist traps there. Avoid or expect to get ripped off!

Gabe, why did u quit using the camera u just bought? Im curious 🙂

There are many great youth hostels in Copenhagen. Luxury for cheap. The Generator that you stayed at has a really nice large lounge with an outdoor terrace adjoined. Always met great random open and friendly travellers while I stayed at Generator. Super central location but in a relatively quite side street. The DanHostels and Wakeup Hostels are other good options, maybe better in some respects.

Such an amazing trip , I like it

A Tour of ROME, ITALY: The Most Incredible City in Europe?

A Tour of ROME, ITALY: The Most Incredible City in Europe? (c) Gabriel Traveler

(c) Gabriel Traveler Exploring the amazing, historic Roman ruins in Rome, Italy. PLANNING A BUDGET TRAVELING TRIP? “Gabe’s Guide to Budget …

I enjoyed watching your video. Rome was amazing. The Vatican and the Colosseum were breathtaking. My family and I recently went. My kids walked all over and explored with us. I wish we had time to see more, but we will put it on our list for when we return. 🙂

I was just in Rome a few months ago! We went exploring after midnight and had such an amazing experience. It felt like we had the city to ourselves. The monuments are all lit up and there’s little to no tourists wandering around. We went back to the colosseum the next day to get inside but the ridiculous line scared us off, but I don’t regret it. That was probably the best night of my life! Great video!

Yup. This area of Rome is so amazing. I was super impressed with Foro Traiano and Foro di Nerva but then got to the Roman Forum and Colosseum…blown away. Just crazy. Excellent walk. 👍👍

I am glad they put that busy road under the neighborhood instead of tearing the neigborhood down . Beautiful footage. Glorious looking day. I was in Rome 20 years ago. It left a special impression on me. I want to return.

Rome is an amazing city, it has soo much to see…

Such amazing history, like the Greeks. Great shots, you are becoming a pro at it.Will have to view it a few times as with all your videos to appreciate it fully. Cheers mate.

Just went to Rome 3 weeks ago…what a beautiful city!!! One of its kind…loved everything about it!!! Full of history, monuments, amazing buildings, great parks, lovely food places, friendly people…definitely I’ll be back!!! ♡

Your videos provide an informative resource for those visiting the cities you trek through. Many thanks!

Wow Rome looks magical!!

Congratulations Gabe for your late travels. I enjoy your videos and they serve my urge to travel again to Europe!

I have been to this city some 40 years ago. At that time, it looked more like a ruin. Grasses were found everywhere. Pillars were lying on the ground disorderly.

Love the video & the quality of the video is excellent, it almost feels like you’re there! Great camera & affordable, only $79.99 on amazon! Keep up the great work Gabriel!

Awesome video collection. Very different life you live than I , but I find your travels hugely fascinating. Might I suggest you visit Costa del Sol, specifically Granada ? You’d love Alhambra and the “old city”

This is the Oldest Temple on Earth | 10,000 BC | Gobekli Tepe, Turkey

This is the Oldest Temple on Earth | 10,000 BC | Gobekli Tepe, Turkey (c) Gabriel Traveler

(c) Gabriel Traveler Visiting the ancient ruins of Gobekli Tepe, Turkey, the oldest complex religious archaeological site discovered, from around 10000 …

Here’s Part 1 about my road trip across Turkey: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9O1i0EzH81Y

Before Gobekli Tepe, archaeologists thought temples and religious buildings were found only where farming communities (beyond hunting/gathering) stood. But at Gobekli Tepe, temples were found before farming was established; and it uprooted a long held belief. This is one reason why Gobekli Tepe is significant.

Wow, this is exactly what I want to see! I’ve read about this place in books but never seen a travel blogger visit the place before.

Ya know, Gabriel, recently I’ve run across some pretty disconcerting allegations about the actions of some other popular travel bloggers. I no longer follow said channels. Thank you for being a good ambassador, for treating other cultures with respect, for showing dignity to fellow humans, for having the patience to understand things previously unknown to you, and for being a travel adventure purist. Namaste! Safe travels, and thank you.

Incredible ancient city, great vlog. I hope to be a seasoned traveler like you one day. Been sticking to domestic flights in the U.S., but finally taking my first Euro trip in February…with the rest of the world on my bucket list. Cheers, from Texas!

Gabriel keep up the good content. I support you brother. Let’s show this man some love 🙂

Thank you for presenting my country Turkey. I have learnt much from this video. I haven’t been Gobeklitepe so you are lucky. Keep going and stay safe. Best

Amazing work.. very informative Kudos to Gabriel!

Enjoyed it so much thanks for sharing Gabriel!

Incredible. Definitely will have to witness this place with my own eyes someday!

Hands down best travel vlogger…..sorry but many of the others annoy me,too shallow, too bothered about the number of places they go rather than what they learn, too bothered by their editing skills…much prefer Gabriels, informative down to earth style…goooo Gabriel

With all those old temples, you think it would be the most PEACEFUL place on Earth!!! lol

Awesome, hopefully I’ll get a chance to visit one day.

Hi Gabriel, Why am I not surprised that this is considered the oldest city Turkey is strategically is the center of the Middle East you can reach any destination in a relatively short. Turkey seems to be a very vital and critical point of entrance the global map will show this with most routes going in any direction to the west, south, east and north it’s not by accident the U. S. has a military base there. Giving them a fastest route to any place in Europe, Asia, or the Middle East.

FANTASTIC Been bucket list destination since 2005 for me.Im so impressed with what I could see of its preservation and how well they protected it from weather and visitors. Looks wonderful with great viewing from boardwalk. Nicely filmed and framing shots,no wind noise and nice audio. Great workThankyou You answered so many questions I had about what it would be like to visit.I have photos of my brother and I in 1976 at Stonehenge with no other people at the sight. So lucky. Half an hour by ourselves. But the number 1 enigma and wonder and biggest treasure is GOBEKLE TEPE !

This just blows my mind. I am not sure if I had ever heard of Gobekli Tepe, but I am reading Reza Aslan’s book “God: A Human History.” I am only a couple chapters in, but so far, he is talking about the origins of religion, belief, and the concept of god/gods. Fascinating stuff!

Wonderful place. Very beautiful Gobekli Tepe, Turkey video. Nice creation. Great work friends.

You’re amazing Gabriel! Great job! I wanna go!

Excited to see this! Indirectly learning history from you is so much more enlightening than sitting in a classroom! I truly appreciate your hard work. OOPS, Was I supposed to say ‘first’?!!

Thank you for the video and the choice of music was perfect it really drives the essence of the people who build this temple 12000 years ago.

Trekking the Himalayas of Nepal Alone in Winter

Trekking the Himalayas of Nepal Alone in Winter (c) Gabriel Traveler

(c) Gabriel Traveler My incredible trek through the Himalayas of Nepal in Langtang National Park. NEED GEAR for your adventures? Visit Gabriel’s …

Here’s Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLRhuXEEP38

Gabriel I’ve been missing the Himalayas for a long time but now that I saw your video, I just can’t not book a flight back to Nepal. Thank you so much for the inspiration! ❤️🙏

7:51 I like how Gabe can talk robotically in almost any language.

I don’t know why this guy doesn’t have at least 1 million subscribers. Gabriel is the most underrated world traveler on YouTube.

Gabriel . Should be awarded as a influencer for Visit nepal 2020. I will recommend him for sure at my best 💓

You’re an incredible man Gabriel I have front row seat in my warm Canadian home and you have history on this video and should be in libraries for educational purposes.. stay warm and happy 2020 new year

Thanks so much for doing and sharing these adventures Gabriel. You’re a huge inspiration to me. Incredible!

Himalayas is literally closest thing to heaven. Beautiful place beautiful people.

its amazing how simply they live and the woman running after you because she thought you left your camera …it shows the honesty that she had … hope she is alive …outstanding video and so interesting

As you demonstrate in this video, off-season traveling is best!

Its saddens me to see all that rubble covering the langtang village. I was there before earthquake and met some really good people there. It still is one of my best treks so far. ❤️

That is really sad what happened to Lang Tang. The video footage that was shown from 2014 was actually the first video I ever saw with Gabriel. This really reminds me that life can be taken away at any moment and we should appreciate the positive experiences that we do have and try to make each day count.

I really appreciate these videos of you sharing this trip with us. The camera is amazing, capturing the beauty of the Himalayas too, the Grand Finale of 2019. Great work, Gabriel. Thank you.

Beautiful scenery. Very sad for all the lives lost in the avalanche.Hope to visit someday

I din’t know how my tear came seen this vedio. one day we all living creaturs are pass away but its so difficulty. Rest in peace who lost their life 2015 earthquake !You are so humble and genius gabrial keep it up !love from Nepal!

Hey there! it gets so cold in the winter that even the organized treks are closed but you my man are something else, no matter what the conditions are you still take it head on, respect!!

Great this is the Gabriel traveler I prefer. Alone and full of adventure.

Sad and incredible all at the same time. Love the way you edited this video – showing the village before the earthquake. Thank you for that. Puts the devastation in perspective. Do you get sick from the altitude? How cold is it?

Thank you so much for this wonderful video..I am Nepali but haven’t there yet and you are showing this to us and all around the world 🌍 Thank you so much again This helps a lot to promote our visit Nepal 2020 Welcome everyone from all around the world to our beautiful country 🇳🇵 Heaven is myth but Nepal is real 😊😊❤️❤️

You are legend for showing the hidden gem to the whole world. Love you gabriel
