Tsuchiya-san inspired me to grip the wheel, get my race license, try to become fast… I tributed my first race in a CRX to Best Motoring for all of the lessons I’ve learned over the years. Many through the eyes of great pro drivers like Tsuchiya himself – all Living Legends. My PSN ID is Tsuchiya-style and I hope I can teach others to love driving like he taught me someday soon. I learned how to race on simulators before real life, these sim skills translate into a faster learning curve on track. Sim racing trains reaction times, muscle memory, you can race against an unlimited amount of opponents of any skill level at any time of day or night – many of these opponents would be faster than licensed road racers here in Canada. I’ve sim raced with pro racers from around the US and internationally. The list of benefits goes on and on. I’m impressed how proffesional racing simulators still uses rFactor as their main physics engine since even being from 2005 its still a pretty solid sim to experience what real life simulation is

I love how Tsuchiya always wears his race suit. I wonder if he wears it when he gets groceries.

You can see in real life driving it’s way more involving as he said there is no accountability for the g forces and characteristics of the car he wasn’t even using the clutch pedal truely an amazing driver one of the best of all time.Long live Keiichi Tsuchiya aka Drift King 👑 hero to many drivers as I love cars especially when everything can be shut off. Man, I’d love to see Keiitchi try VR racing games such as Dirt Rally. I’m sure he would be amazed of the experience.

It would be interesting to see how a pro gamer holds up to Keiichi in a real car!

A shame he only used the budget rig, would have loved to see him try out rFactor.His complaint about not being able to feel the tyre grip in the wheel wouldn’t have been a thing on the pro rigs.And the HE pedals sure would have made consistent braking a whole lot easier.Even on my lowly t300 I can feel understeer and brake lockup.

I feel a lot more confident at my car choices and technique now that I’ve heard from Tsuchian-san that it really can have good translation into IRL skill, and I totally understand his points. Also, Chocoblanka is adorable.

the RCF Track has gotta be easily one of the most aesthetically underrated cars released within the last couple of years. all the edges and curves of the car are so amusing to look at

This is why I respect the Best Motoring crew. They are legit drivers who push these cars to their limits no doubt. But are also so humble to give credit to a car that is surperior to their own domestic offering. Big fan for the past 25 years!

The torque output from the AMG is insane, but, it needs it at 2150kg !Heaviest touge car ever ?

It’s great to know that Merc AMG GT63 performs so well here. AWD and AWS! HOLD ON! Lets rewind our clocks back to early 90s…. A Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo (3000GT). It also had 4WD and 4WS. Sadly it fell behind Honda (Acura) NSX, Toyota Supra RZ (2JZ engined) and many sports cars in that class. I drove the Mitsi GTO Twin Turbo before. It was a great car until I drove a base Merc SLK 200 which felt more agile around corners.Will Mitsubishi redeem its embarrassment with their new AWD, AWS sports car? Probably not for now as manufacturers pretty much heavily focus on SUVs for sales. Personally I still prefer a lower but yet practical Estate cars as they have better road manners.

This Mercedes is a real AMG. Build to be raced!But it is flawed by design because of its heavy weight. A car with a curb weight of over two tons simply will never be as quick and responsive as a lighter chassis. The strong engine and transmission combined with the four wheel steering make up for the weight but Mercedes needs to develop a lighter chassis for them to truly develop their maximum potential.

I love how Tsuchiya gives praise, then asks for the japanese manufacturers to step up to that level or beyond 🙂

The methods used to make these excessively heavy cars fast, Can be used to greater effect on lighter cars. Any car!Therefore it’s a fallacy in methodology, as the performance gains are relative and relies solely on – Lighter cars Not receiving those same gains.Lighter will always be superior, And obvious to those that don’t get tricked…

一般道から高速まで、プリウスはどこでもバトルやアタックしてると思っていましたが峠まで…織戸さんがGTでプリウス乗ることになるとは思ってなかった
