best car show ever! its all about the car’s performance. western car reviews would talk about the interior and how nice the apple car play is for hours. meanwhile, these guys would be like, touge battle!
The a45 surprised me there. Didn’t knew it could corner that good!
Would be interesting to see a modified WRX STI with similar power up against the A45 or any other AWD German competitors. In the UK motoring journalists have mostly written off the WRX STI as being underpowered and old fashioned compared to rivals. Subaru have given up selling it in the UK, probably due to massive popularity of German rivals here. It is well established the limits of the EJ207 so would be good to see if the chassis, drivetrain and electronics etc can compare when given a comparable amount of power. I wonder if perhaps the questionable reliability of the EJ held them back from putting more power in to it? Unfortauntely it feels that without a WRC car feeding the development the raw rally motorsports soul of it just isn’t there and it can’t compete in the days of sophisticated dual clutch gearboxes and electronics alongside strict emissions regulations etc. Hopefully the WRX STI doesn’t go the way of the Evo but certainly seems that way, at least outside of Japan. Perhaps they are still selling well there? I hope so.

I’m a big Subaru fan but there’s no way an AMG A45 would lose to a Subaru, even a S209. In terms of car feel, that’s a subjective answer but objectively. The AMG A45 is everything that Subaru should be trying to follow suit in future STIs. This model has nearly 400HP, tons of modes for changing the car’s handling. It’s got premium interior and so much torque. I think DK is only playing non-bias by declaring they are tied but the STI is not in the same league as AMG. 20 yr old engine tech. I would give up my STI anyday for that A45. The A45 easily out performs the STI and they still give it lower marks?
I remember a friend picked me up in an a45 the 360hp version and I was shocked at how fast it was especially down b roads here in the UK the new one must feel brilliant, Out all the hatches in the UK at least Id have a seat leon cupra 290 front wheel drive but drive mint

I have lots of expectations from the FA24 engine – but Subaru needs to do is to develop a 3 to 3.5 L flat 6 engine for the STI. Something like a FA35 flat 6 would just turn the tables for the STI.

I think what really ended the fk2 was it’s understeer I don’t think the traction control had that much to do with it it had the lead in the beginning just that the fd2r had better weight and balance in power with handling
The Fd2 is a special car that. But with Tsuchiya behind the wheel of his nsx, takes driving skills to another level.
FD2 is the best civic for me forever. The right amount of tech and machanical stuff, its NA and its sooo pretty outside and inside.
Fastest hot hatch at the nurburgring For many times between 2010-2019 is Renault Megane RS Trophy. Using torsion beam axle at rear. Beating CTR turbo by 3 seconds.So yes, suspension type does not really affected a car handling but more towards the set up.

The new civic R is nothing compared to its predecessors, a honda with a turbo goes againts what Honda used to stand for, they went from making amazing, well balanced cars designed for the track with high revving amazing naturally aspirated engines to making the FK2 which focuses more on looking fast than actually being fast.

So, what have we learned?? S2000 is still a monster in the FR class, I have a Spa Yellow 02′ AP1 with 169k on it right now with coilovers, single exit Apexi exhaust and a modified stock airbox and I love to drive my car, such an amazing feeling taking it to 9,000 rpms and hearing that Vtec scream all the way up. So fun around corners too it’s amazing. Waiting to see if and when they will release the new one..

32Zは整備性に難がありますしガンガン曲げるようなクルマでも無いかも知れないけど美しいスタイリングと色々お金かかってる感じは33や34にはない魅力

The funny and ironic thing is, everybody (when I was in h.s.) went head over heels for the Z32 because that’s when it first came out. It was a $35K car brand new (Z32 TT), pretty much the same thing as say, a contemporary BMW M3/4 adjusting for inflation ($70K+ car). Anyways, it was the most beautiful car in the world to me, and still is in my heart. That’s why I bought a ’95 twin turbo (SWB) about a month ago. Mine is cosmetically rough, but I’m going to restore it to its former glory. It’s really sad that both in the U.S. and Japan, the Z32 coincidently isn’t popular, hence its used-car-value being pretty low. The FD3S and MKIV TT used car vales are high, but it’s because of the Fast & Furious movies. It’s really amazing what movies/media can do the perception of something. I would’ve bought a used FD3S but I’m not willing to pay a high price for a 20+ y.o. car, and secondly I don’t want to rebuild that unreliable rotary every year or whatever. I’ll stick with the Z32 twin turbo.

Z32 was really good but the more laps it started fading compare to the rest but still so capable I’m a Z guy so always first and last Z but that was a good zx

It’s like watching all my icons as a kid growing up. I drove all these cars when I was just a kid, thank you PlayStation lol 😂. I love all those cars, the yellow Z32 sounds amazing and glorious 😁🙏🤝👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌. My brothers X used to have a S15, nice car, not a huge fan of the way it looks but a very capable car indeed. RX7 is a Hero, R34 is as beautiful as ever and the black Z32 was fast and really good against the R34. Seemed like had too much side to side movement, maybe stiffer anti roll bars for the track might help, better Race Spec polyurethane bushings all around as well, since it has so much power to put down, also they can always put better drivetrain components, like the S15 seemed to have a really good gearbox that gave it a good advantage on the track in my opinion, they can always fit it with a carbon fiber one piece driveshaft to make it Rev faster and smoother, also gain some speed on the shift times and all around I’m sure, a better LSD like a OS Giken 1.5 turn for time attack. All those cars have potential and are very good fun for track days 😁👍👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪👌👌👌👌👌🤝🤝🙏🙏 really fun to watch these guys race against one another.
