Wow, the formation flying is amazing, absolutely surgical. I cannot imagine the skill required to get to that level. And yet the Stratofortress pilots, from what I could see, appear to be quite young. Very impressive.

I’m still amazed at how a heavier than air machine can maintain such perfection in the air, not to mention the age of this aircraft compared to its escorts.

I grew up on SAC bases. Dad was veteran of WW2, a bomber pilot. He then career B52 pilot. I still live close to a SAC air force base. Love the sound of the B52 taking off and landing. Brings back memories.

B-52H 60-001 the first H model made. Capable of taking off with 480,000 lbs on board, weapons and fuel. 185′ ft wing span, 159′ long, 40’8″ tall. Conventional and Nuclear capable, unlimited range with in-flight refueling.

What a beautiful sight, a gorgeous B-52H flanked by (2) F-35A & (1) F-16 Viper on each side, in Perfect formation! 😍🥰💪🇺🇸

That was one of the best military aircraft videos I’ve seen in a while. The end @10:35 looks like it’s flanked by a pair of Moroccan F-16 Blk-52 (judging by the camo scheme coming into the coast of Morocco.

THIS, is why I enlisted in the USAF and retired from the USAF. My dad was a B-52 mechanic and I always wanted to be one myself. Ended up in Command and Control, but at least it was the USAF!

I really didn’t like this design the first time I saw it. But it’s growing on me. The more I see it, the better it looks. Still isn’t as “pretty” to me as an F-16 but it’s badass🔥.

I remember watching an interview with the pilots that scrambled on 9/11. One of the pilots said they hopped in and basically skipped all the preflight stuff, started the jets and took off…UNARMED!! They were gonna just fly into flight 93 if they had too. Insane story if you can find it

Nothing like having to scramble Jets to go fight an attack and having to wait for a passenger plane to land first before you can take off 😂

I still am impressed by just how loud fighters are. A normal jet airliner like a 737 flying at cruising altitude is pretty much inaudible to me. Fighters flying at the same altitude are incredibly loud. Or maybe a little lower. I’ve had a few fighter jets fly over my house, tho it’s pretty rare. Hell I see B-25s and P-51s fly over my house more than fighter jets cus of a history of flight museum by me that has functional examples of those ww2 relics. Beautiful planes too.

That halmet is far more expensive than that van…

The fate of the free world may be in your hands but let’s not forget our manners and close that van door 👍

I wonder how long it takes to get into their flightsuits. I imagine time getting to their aircraft is fast (100-200yards), and once en route to intercept can’t be too long taking to account the F-35’s speeds of mach 1.6. Naturally anything they intercept will have a bad day considering the F-35’s stealth and weapons packages. One has to wonder about the gentleman’s unshaven face, I’m afraid this isn’t US Armed Forces (many countries, sadly, utilize the F-35 today). That said, God Bless and Keep the US Military, the best of the best <3
