Nice one Nick. There’s just something about train journeys. Especially when you get a two-sun sunset.
Been twice in Pakistan for work. Love the Pakistanis: really friendly and welcoming. Never felt unsafe.
I am from India – I wish you good luck Pakistanis. I hope you prosper and make your country a better place for living just like what we are trying to do.
Love the way how that older fella just enters the cabin and makes himself right at home. Superb series and is really opening my eyes to this fascinating country. Thanks Nick!
People are people no matter where one goes, give respect and one will receive it in turn.A smile can take you further than you think!
There’s something so chill and interesting about this at the same time – love the train noises and the everyday life glimpses. Doesn’t look that bad – people seem civil and clean. Train just looks long.
What a journey! 🙂 I’m glad YouTube recommended me your channel, loads of amazing videos for me to watch during our lockdown here in France. Take good care.
You would have travelled the super quiet high speed trains, but the noise of this trains from the sleepers, combined with sounds of hawkers on the train and platform is something special and nostalgic for many. Getting down at major stops Rohri, Khanewal, walk around, buying food is fun. Always look forward to it.
Amazed by the beauty of this country. Love and prayers for the kind people
Watching this in Norway and my heart is aching to go back to Pakistan. I have travelled in the same train from khi to isb with my friends and this video brought back so many memories. Good days. Thanks Nick, bless you!
I love a good train trip! As usual you’ve blown away anything I have ever done! 22 hrs? Oh man! I think my longest was over 12 hrs. Did you two ever interact with the older man in your cabin? It was funny to see you two reading a newspaper and turning the pages at the same time!
Every time you sign off by saying “incase I don’t see you, good afternoon, good evening & goodnight ” I get goosebumps. You are so brave to do what you do, thank you for educating us!
Thanks so much to showing our lovely culture to the world.Welcome to the land of hospetality ❤🇵🇰
Love the journey on the train and seeing the beautiful country side of Pakistan. Great train ride in the in business class. I was so happy to see the gentlemen you interviewed living in Ukraine and sharing his experience while living there for 10 years. I’m also from Ukraine 🙂 Impressive that he knows Ukrainian and Russian. Food looked good on that train. Great video bro. All the best!
I love train travel. Please include as much of this as possible in future trips. Hope everyone out there is being safe and staying sane in these weird times.
WOW incredible experiencia especially with The Two suns appearing during sunset! Muchas Gracias Nick!
This was the first vid I watched today while in lockdown. Such a welcomed break from the covid onslaught. How cool was it that you were recognized?! Thanks for the warm content. Be safe and stay healthy!
Great video Nick! Loving this Pakistani series! Much love from Western Australia!
Great that we are living in XXI century and we can let’s say ‚travel’ without leaving out home ;)Thanks Nick for taking us with you during those hard times.I hope that soon everything would get back to normal! Stay safe guys
THIS IS NORTH KOREA? (not what I expected)
(c) Indigo Traveller INSTAGRAM FOR PHOTOS OF NORTH KOREA: https://www.instagram.com/indigo.traveller/ -MY PATREON: …
Want to see how I got into North Korea and how much it cost me? Watch here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoFT3DzR4Mg
This is all very interesting to me. The tour guides are clearly taking you to the places they want you to see. Nothing wrong with that. You definitely looked nervous the whole time. That’s pretty messed up.I had the chance to be surrounded with NK people last year. I was part of the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games as an NOC Assistant (National Olympic Committee). I was assigned to the North Korean delegation, which included representatives, manager, trainers and athletes (No representatives came). The kids were extremely quiet and only the manager spoke English, so I had no way of communicating with them other than with signs. I got along especially well with the girl in weightlifting, she was really sweet and smiley. The manager told me “don’t talk to them”. I think he then realized how harsh it sounded and corrected himself with “They won’t understand you”. He was a nice guy, very centered and polite. Never lost his temper (even when we ran into problems). The trainers didn’t speak English so I couldn’t really understand them. We just sort of understood each other with signs, pointing, and nodding. They didn’t go sightseeing at all while they were here, they went out only once to buy a pair of sneakers and protein powder. They didn’t have credit cards nor cellphones. They eventually purchased three to keep in touch because everyone kept getting lost. There were several activities going around the Olympic Village but they never participated. The most shocking thing to me was that my co-assistant (who speaks some Korean) asked one of the girls if her parents were happy about her being here competing. I assume she must have misunderstood the question because she answered “my parents are happy because we live in a happy country”. That really stuck with me.
I imagine this would be like if someone from the outside came to tour the Hunger Games universe, they’ take you on a tour of the Capital and maybe like District 1 and be like see, things are great here they’re not so bad
It reminds me so much of the China I went to in 1990! There are a lot of similarities— looking trapped in time is one of them. I was there before Deng Xiaoping opened up the economy so it was a very different China back then. Still absolutely loving this series, Nick. A million thanks for the time you’re putting into editing. 🙏🏼👍🏼✌🏼
I’ve watched a lot of documentaries and vlogs on North Korea as its intriguing country, and wasn’t expecting to see anything new considering how controlled the Pyongyang tours are. Pleasantly surprised to find you have shot lots of footage of places I haven’t seen and love being also given more information (thanks to your attention to detail). The editing and music is really great too.
the fact that he said “wow its like you can’t even tell the factory apart from a 1940’s film and the 21st century” is scary
A good friend of mine is a guitarist for the biggest rock band in South Korea and played a show in Pyongyang last year as part of a culture-sharing event. Shook Kim Jeong Un’s hand. Now that must have been surreal.
It’s interesting how you try to find the good in every country you visit, not even North Korea’s an exception. I like your style!
He keeps sayinh how “nicely stocked the stores are” . Take a closer look, that is obviously not stocked to be sold, that is obviously not merchandise that is being sold all the time, i work in retail, you will never stock 3 pieces of chocolate so nicely , if you are selling them. Its very obvious that those stores are there for the tourists to see , and think how well north korean stores are “stocked” , when in reality there is shortage of food and people dont have a choice of what they buy.
Great series so far, I was wondering if they check all the footage you recorded while you were in the country before you leave? Because it sort of surprised me that they would allow through some of your commentary like “we are being watched”, “roads are bumpy” etc etc. I was expecting that kind of stuff to purely be post-trip voiceovers like you have for some parts. Excellent unique footage btw, I am checking your other videos when I have the time and they are just full of so much I didn’t know!
I don’t know why people were hating on you praising the food. We aren’t idiots and we know that only tourists get such lavish meals… that doesn’t mean it’s not good. Those dishes looked great to me. North Korean cuisine (for those privileged enough to taste enough of it) is the closest to what they would have had in ancient Korea. While South Korea pretty much adds a shit tonne of spice to everything.
“Honestly i felt controlled this whole trip and this place kinda sucks…” *Gets sniped*
for some reason I feel like they are hiding a whole lot of things. just the vibes and all, it’s wierd
This might be my favorite series about DPRK. Also, the quality of the shots, the natural beauty and the music chosen makes the NK countryside one of prettiest on earth. What a great job. Also, what’s the name of the outro song? Really loving it, keep it up
I can’t stop being amazed by your films. I’ve never seen anything like this from the DPRK, unbelievable they let you film so much
I feel like NK officials read Youtube comments under non-propaganda travel videos. Because every time someone visited there has been videos and comments about things what were lacking and missing.. Things what felt weird for people watching. And now when someone goes to visit – those things what were lacking before were fixed one by one.. Every fresh video ther has been some changes made and this have most of them. Kinda creepy but same time impressive from North Koreans to managing to do that fairly efficient time.
I immensely appreciate your work. This is life changing stuff! ❤
And I’m really amazed at how beautifully colorful all of the buildings are! I’ve only ever seen colorful buildings like that in very warm areas like Southern Florida, San Francisco, Mexico, and the Caribbean! The buildings in South Korea have lost a lot of their character because most of their high-rises are white.
Everything looks post-apocalyptic once you get out of Pyongyang.
Great series! My respect and admiration. One question: how easy/difficult did you find to get your paperwork done to get North Korea?
UKRAINE IS SOOOO CHEAP! 🇺🇦

Man, with prices like that, I’m considering taking up smoking! Ha ha. Wow, it’s crazy cheap alright. Cool video, also gives a good feel for Ukraine.
I went to L’viv in 2016 expecting to see a depressing rundown place (after all the bad news that we hear about Ukraine)… And found a surprisingly charming and enjoyable city with really cheerful people instead! Being from Spain, I’ve travelled around most of Europe, and seriously L’viv was one of the most positive surprises that any city ever gave me. Looking forward to going back!! If any of you reading this ever has the chance of going there, please do so, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Beautiful urban landscape, super cheap prices, lots of interesting things to see and do, no tourist overcrowding, and 100% safe.
Love to Ukranian Brothers from Macedonia 🇲🇰🇺🇦
I’m from Ukraine, and yes, it is a very cheap country, but the average wage is also very low in comparison to the u.s. one.
I just back from Ukraine. Everything is super super super cheap. People are so nice and friendly. I really love Ukraine.by the way I’m from Taiwan.
I’m in Kiev right now. Prices are cheap, city is clean, food is amazing. Must visit if you want maximum for you money, and to enjoy beautiful people, and to explore the history.
You reminded me how cheap things in Ukraine are. A memorable time there! I saw a ballet performance advertised in Kiev, so I stayed an extra night to go and see it. For an incredible experience, as well as sitting close to the front row – only about USD 15.00 😮 Will have to visit Lviv one day 😊
I have been there several times. It is very cheap for Westerners, not for the locals. A fantastic country to visit. I have had some of the best times of my life there.
4:50 its not a beer, its a KVAS slavic traditional fizzy drink, realy tasty!
My favorite city! I love coming back. People, architecture, nature, food, overall atmosphere is incredible ❤️❤️❤️
Just compare average salary in US and in Ukraine and you will understand that these prices are not so low for locals
I am an American guy who lives in Ukraine. Great job on this video! I can vouch for the accuracy of all the things you’re talking about. There is a warmth and kindness to be Ukrainian people obviously you understand, Because you come across as a gracious and decent person as well.
My wife is Ukrainian and we generally go there every year to see the in-laws (we live in California currently). Lviv is actually one of the more expensive cities to go to. I would suggest traveling to Kharkov as there are more English speakers and much more things to do. There are also a lot of foreign exchange students there and the ones from Africa are a good relief if you want to hear English again during your travels. Here are some examples of prices:Cheap cigarettes’ >$1Street food to get you full: $1.50 – $2.50A VERY nice hotel room: $20 – $40 a night4 – 5 star restaurant for 2 people: $15Taxi for a general distance: $4 – $6Standard tips for services: $0.5 – $1 (if you tip $4 their eyes will be in awe)
Yes Ukraine is cheap but you need to remember that the money they receive from work is not a lot so it’s actually pretty expensive for the normal people who live there . By the way this comes from a Ukrainian
L’viv is an amazing place I lived there for a year before going there about 35 times.
Miss Ukraine a lot. Fun young people, good weather, cheap to live, relatively safe. Unique
I was in Odessa in 1971 when it was still part of USSR. I recall one pound of tomatoes at a farmers market was one Ruble which cost at that time $1.12 on the official exchange rate. I gather prices have changed a lot there.
wooow i want to get there in ukraine right now so i can buy things around without hurting my wallet!!just kidding, i’m Ukranian from Ukraine, living in ukraine as ukranian is kinda nasty but being a tourist in ukraine is amazingim glad you enjoyed ukraine and tried to appreciate how it is and experience the flavor and spirit of ukraine
I’m so impress by all your video’s. You sound like a professional newsreporter. We never seem to get good news about other countries & it’s people. Being an America🇺🇸, I couldn’t understand the hate coming from both sides of the world🌏when you have good decent people from all over the world🌏. Your videos show us the kindness & friendliness that the media seems to overlook. Excellent job!!!😁❤👍
Inside Nigeria’s Biggest Slum (beyond crazy)
(c) Indigo Traveller Nigeria’s biggest slum is incredible. Try Canva Pro free for 45 days by going to http://canva.me/indigotraveller Orphanage: We …
*Orphanage Update:* We surpassed our goal for the money raised for the orphanage plus enough to keep it running for the foreseeable future in less than 24 hours ($80,000 USD). Orphanage building costs and materials, daily food for 50-60 children, clean drinking water, school fees etc. will now all be taken care of thanks to your overwhelming generosity and response to this campaign. Thanks to all who donated! I personally will be involved in fund transfer instalments, project monitoring and general overseeing of this project to ensure it is carried out in an efficient manner. If you want to see updates of the project in the future, you can stay up to date on my instagram: https://www.instagram.com/indigo.traveller/Your generosity has blown us away and now many children have a better chance at life because of your support. Much love, Nick 🖤
Thank you for bringing this out for the world to see. Lots of people in my country are suffering from poverty and bad governance but Nigerians are born survivors. We live together in strong spirit and always keep the hope for a better future alive. Best love from this part of the world.❤️🇳🇬
As a Nigerian living in Canada, this brings alot of memories. Can’t explain how humbling and same time, exciting this video is. Thanks for this immersive video, I am so grateful for my experiences growing up in Nigeria. It made me super strong to face the real world.
That guide is really great. You can tell people have a lot of respect for him. And he is so knowledgable and kind. What a guy. Also, being the Chief’s son is plus.
It actually seems like a well-functioning community with it’s own mini economy. For the most part people seem to have what they need and the crime is low. The biggest worry is the health of the people living there due to the poor sanitary conditions and walking paths with all of the missing boards and holes also the orphans who need a permanent place to call home.
The Nigerian people are the definition of resilience. Especially those in the slums. Holy cow this documentary is epic. I will be making my children watch this docu series right away. They take so much for granted.
I came to donate, and it’s beyond amazing to see how generous this community of viewers have been to the point where I can’t even donate because the goal has been surpassed! You guys are amazing!
I am an Indian….I have stayed in Nigeria all my childhood…this place is and will forever be close to my heart…I miss my Nigerian friends….football….yam….gala…okada…apapa market…Nepa😀 god bless 🇳🇬 Nigeria
What a story! Before the video ended, I was looking to see how I could contribute to the orphanage. Then I read where in 24 hours you surpassed the goal. I really want to track the progress of the build. I’ll be praying for the children and the project. Maybe Ben can build the school now :). I’d be happy to contribute toward that and would love to visit one day.
I like how smart and well spoken Sunday is. He did not let allow where he came from define who he is. You can come from the ghetto or slum and still be good. God bless him and Indigo Traveller is doing a great job. Thanks for bringing Makoko floating community to the world.
Crazy that I grew up here too. I am currently schooling in the US, will be going back home next year summer to teach kids how to code
Definitely eye opening, praying health and wealth for these people in Lagos. The guide represented his people professionally as well, big respect.
What a beautiful documentary, thanks for all that you do! Beautiful, happy people working together for the sake of their community, it’s so refreshing to see! I pray the orphanage goes well, and those precious children have a fighting chance 💙
I would love to go to Nigeria! The community seems so endearing and so together like they are “one”! I would love to help!!! God bless!! 🙏
Wait, what? $80,000 in less than 24hrs? Wow, this is overwhelmingly amazing. I’m Nigerian and I know this simple act of kindness will better the lives of those kids in no small way. God bless everyone who has donated.
That little orphan kid has literally broken my heart, even he is 10 years old but you can feel his deep dark sadness through his eyes and tone!!
Hey Indigo! In my Geography class in the UK, my Geography teacher put this video on for our class to watch since it was near Christmas. It was a very enjoyable and informative video to watch, thanks!
At first I was like “oh my God how can people live in such a place like this”!! but after continuing to watch this video and started hearing people’s stories and how they live and how this man allows his neighbors to sit in his room and use his TV, these things made me feel like “i wanna join them” , I wish if I could visit this place some day!! Much respect from egypt..😊🇪🇬
Great video thank you
Bloke showing him around and telling him about everything seems real genuine and like a good soul. Bless and luck to all struggling around the world
