DAY 1: Arriving in Honduras (not safe)
(c) Indigo Traveller Day 1 in in Honduras, what a country. My Instagram for photos of the trip: https://www.instagram.com/indigo.traveller/ -My Patreon …
🔵 *Hope you are ready for this new series from Honduras,* it is definitely a heavy place, the people are very kind and fun people. Sadly, many of them are facing unimaginable hardships on a daily basis. Throughout this series, I hope to share with you a slice of their reality whilst visiting many areas of the country, the good, the bad and the ugly. If you want to see a photo I just posting on my Instagram of Honduras Capital city, you can see that here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CM9b3klFGCZ/Thanks for watching and as always please share your feedback in a comment below. Nick 🇭🇳
Indigo Traveller’s documentation during keeps getting better and better every series. Also, doing good things for these places bringing attention to them. Stay safe though!
Yeah I remember those hurricanes, they were all over the news cuz previously there were two other hurricanes that hit Mexico so people were worried if those other two would come to Mexico but they only hit Honduras and El Salvador but much harder than the Mexican hurricanes.
I am from Honduras and currently living here (dental student), I will not say that everything is fine , because it’s not. Most of the facts are right. Its sad that our goverment is the worst, democracy does not work how its supposed to. Elections are always rigged by corrupt politicians and this always leads to more poverty, its a vicous cycle. Not only the less fourtunate want lo flee the country in hopes of a better life , but the middle class youth want leave and never come back. Its the sad truth.Like in any other country , locals know where its not safe to be , know that we have to be cautious when walking in public places etc etc, but overall its safe to say we don’t all live in constant fear (I can’t speak for everyone). So im actually impressed that you visted some hot spots that most locals would never, but that’s our reality. Thanks for visiting our country I can’t wait to see what else you have in store for us. Besides our sad circumstances im proud to be a Honduran and pray for a better future for our country in hopes that younger generations will overcome the corrupt system.
Saludos desde México a todos mis hermanos hondureños 🇲🇽🇭🇳✌️
My parents are from tela Honduras and this makes me happy that you went and covered my country. Thank you for being amazing 🤩
Honduras is beautiful. Had a great time there. Had no issues, stayed away from dangerous areas. Just like I do in the U.S. and developed nations.
Thank you for making this video and showing the hard but true reality of my country. As a Honduran who lives in Honduras it hurts me to no end to see my country bleeding.Thank you again for this video ❤️
Que pena ver a un país tan hermoso como Honduras en estas condiciones..un abrazo hermanos ❤️
In the 1970s it was a wonderful, safe place to visit and vacation esp Tegucigalpa and Lake Aqua Azul. Now, it’s a war zone. Sad to see the people there suffer so much. Thank you for your report. I hope and pray they can see better times in the future.
Indigo Travellers journalism is top quality, and the stories that he shows the world are not only important, but they’re also an eye opener.
You’re so great at what you do nick, visiting places with huge issues but making sure the focus remains on the place and its people (and not you, the YouTuber) . You facilitate the story telling us a respectful and dignified manner, which is so important. Thank you for allowing us to see what life is like in these places.
this guy deserves more attention!! he’s better than some journalists nowadays by far!
As a Honduran, I thank you for your braveness to come into my country. I know that for people from abroad it’s a tough choice to make. Furthermore, showing the world what’s happening in Honduras is a major thing because media is bought by the powered people and don’t show reality in a daily basis. My take as a San Pedro’s citizen, is that if you get the luck to be born in a middle class family you would have the opportunity to grow to some extent, however, for people that have grown in poor neighbourhoods will be almost impossible to get a better quality life.We the people of Honduras need to make a change in our communities and culture, from low class up to the highest. At last, it’s a chance of improvement for all of us. Be a better Honduran, help us each other, don’t skip the line or go through a red stop. We Hondurans know that we have to make those decisions as citizens, there is a lot of people that criticize the government which is truth, they are one of the major reasons we are in this situation. Nevertheless, we need to start also judging ourselves as citizens. How good are we with our own communities.I hope the best for my country, I hope corruption ends, which I think in order to do so, we have to start educating ourselves outside of the government system which give us pretty much nothing to open our minds or have the opportunity to analyze.Let’s rebel ourselves with mentality. “Until they become conscious they will never rebel, and until after they have rebelled they cannot become conscious.” G.O.
I am midway through this video and I realize a common theme throughout all of indigo traveller’s documentaries is that people just want to be heard and they want peace. La paz. Honestly. This is devastating to view and simultaneously grounding to see how resilient people are or can be. Thanks for sharing this insight. Cheers.
My condolences to the driver & his family, on the losses of his wife & son.
Been coming to Honduras since 2008 and living here for 7 years. I have travelled all over this country. Sure, there is danger here, but 90% of the country is safe and peaceful. I have never felt fearful for my life here, never!
You are one of the best proper investigative journalists of our time. I’m truly greatful for your effort, integrity and balance in everything you do. Thank you.
I went to Honduras this year pretty much anywhere in a road trip during couple weeks , some parts can be sketchy, if you do the right thing , you won’t get in trouble like anywhere else in the world ! People are amazing despite of all things going on out there , these people are strong!!Thank you for sharing Indigo , I look forward to watch more !
BANGLADESH TRAIN TRAVEL IS CRAZY
(c) Indigo Traveller SUBSCRIBE – https://tinyurl.com/mcmvaex INSTAGRAM – https://tinyurl.com/maerr29 FACEBOOK – https://tinyurl.com/kj5et8g …
Hope you enjoy this one guys! If you missed my last video, *’EXPLORING THE REAL DHAKA’* then click this link to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ii5lfTXh_g&t= 🇧🇩💗✌
I’m from the UK – semi-retired – and a visitor to this beautiful friendly country for 22 years, and now living in Dhaka since 2012. I really believe that we can learn so much from these friendly people. Outside Dhaka the rural world is a paradise of silence, hard-working and house-proud farming people in their small green well cared-for oasis-villages. I love them.
That train is very popular!!
Wow I was watching this movie about Chittagong conspiracy of pre-independence time and the next thing I see is this video and present day Chittagong. Bangladesh is beautiful. I as an Indian can appreciate the way the country is developing. It’s not there but it is surely on the way. All the best to my bangla brothers and sisters. Ignore if some other Indians are comparing you with India, they have forgotten history I guess. You are doing an amazing job with your progress. Joy Bangla! Jai Hind! 🇮🇳
love your videos Nick, your editing is fabulous!!! my bf and I are also travel vloggers and are obsessed with your content! we have watched you from the start and are really happy that you have made it big! Good on you Nick!
You struck the perfect note Indigo. Bangladesh is not a beach resort (though it has the world’s largest beach). Nor is it a luxury hotel Mecca. It is simply a travel experience. One that is not for the faint hearted and yet is exceptional. I hope more adventurous travelers will come to Bangladesh. Ignore comments from some Bangladeshis who are a bit embarrassed by some of the chaos and dirt you have seen. You haven’t exactly come to Bangladesh to visit the shopping malls and upscale restaurants. What some locals will want you to see will be vastly different from what you will actually want to see, which is indeed what you are doing. Keep up the good work.
I’ve been sick for a few days and have literally not left my bed in about 4 days and have been binge watching your videos & i absolutely love them🖤 Sheffield, England
Wow, being a traveller does need you to have an open mind. That was crazy and I m from India, been to Dhaka a few times, never saw this though. How come you aren’t falling sick eating at local places, even we avoid it!
This is really hilarious how you might have freaked out seeing the crowd at the first time or as a traveler and then sat in the far more quite compartment. I can totally relate to you. Even as a local of Bangladesh, it is overwhelming for us to see such crowd and then by just few dollars enjoying luxury of top class. I know this is overwhelming. Bangladesh is a country full of surprises and impossible possibilities my friend.
That’s amazing! I must recommend you to visit Rajshahi and Sylhet as well as Saint Martin island. These are much better place than Dhaka to enjoy.
Remarkable!! I watched this on the big TV and it was indeed crazy to see! Perfect choice using Ozzie. 🤘🏼🤘🏼 I hear you on wanting to see places unspoilt by tourism as a traveler. Living and working in China in 1990 was like that and I feel very fortunate to have experienced it like that. Keep up the good work! As for future places, I vote Mongolia. More well-traveled than it once was, I love seeing the life there. That one might be better for summer weather, though. What about somewhere like Kazakhstan? I’d like to see more of Central Asia, too. 👍🏼✌🏼💗
Wow! And I thought train travel in India was crazy. Bangladesh seems next level!
Incredible to see how some of the world lives — meanwhile we complain about seemingly simple things. I enjoyed watching this; nicely done.
I am an Indian.i have been worked in oman therefore I have Many Bangladeshi friends they are good people Bangladesh is good country even developing very fast…lots of love from India……😍😍😍😍
Loving your videos so far!! Thank you for making the effort of going to lesser known countries. Sick of the usual travel vlogs most people make. I want to see the authentic raw unedited footage of everyday life. Cant wait to see where you go next. Love from Australia
Bangladesh and India reminds me of a world where you can do anything…. Crossing rails, Riding on top of roofs and more…
Man if I go to Bangladesh I will ride on top of that train 😀
At first thanks to you for coming to our country. You are very welcome. I also agree that Dhaka is the most densely populated city in the earth right now. But I can tell you one thing that the people of Bangladesh are so frankly and the culture is very interesting. There are many beautiful place in Dhaka, like Lalbagh kella, Ahsan manjeel.etc. Obviously you should go outside the Dhaka. There are many beautiful place. You will love to see those place. I hope you like our country. Whatever my country is, i love my country so much.
There are not enough words to describe this awesome, crazy, colourful video. Loving your editing and music choice. The food looked wonderful. Stay safe…
Hi Nick. Watching your vlogs for a couple of weeks now. Great content! Thank you for doing what you do. Have to say great job with the ‘crazy train’ edit sequence on this one. Wish I knew how to edit that tight and creatively. Again… enjoying the stories and adventures so thanks. (My new neighbor is from Bangladesh. I’ll have to show them your videos)
SIGNS OF U.S.A. ON STREETS OF AFGHANISTAN (Extreme Travel Afghanistan)
(c) Indigo Traveller Travelling in remote parts of Afghanistan and walking streets. Donate to the children of Afghanistan here: …
As mentioned in the video, here are the photos of the trip: https://www.instagram.com/indigo.traveller/🔴If you would like to donate to save lives of children in need (JUST $10 BUYS 30 MEALS FOR A CHILD IN DESPERATE NEED)https://donate.unicef.org.nz/Thank you for your time. ❤🇦🇫
that kid running after the unicef vehicle selling eggs just broke my heart. You can see in his eyes that he is struggeling, but you can also see hope. 🙁
These people of Afghanistan are the definition of strength and never letting go of hope. Wishing the best to every single one of them
The guy in the shop who barely has food immediately offers some when asked if it’s good… let that sink in. The world is not full of segregated factions, it’s full of people and life.
Can you imagine living most if not your entire life in conflict and war, then yet still retain hope? that really shows how strong these people are.
That kid at 3 min. Running to sell… Stole my heart… It’s heartbreaking 💔 to see the daily struggle & yet we have complaints sitting in our AC bed rooms, kitchen full of groceries, kids with all the gadgets & yet we have complaints…
The old woman cries sitting alone in the sand makes me wonder what her pain is. The young boy struggles to sell eggs to support his family. What an amazing country and world.
The scent when a child with red jacket, trying to sell some eggs, is very…very…very touching. Hope, this country get peace forever. No more war.
All I can say mate is great content and yes there is always another side and a human side anywhere in the world, but as an ex serviceman who has been there, it is still a dangerous place, not only for foreigners, but for the locals as well. Its noble and morale to promote the good in the place, but it is also still realistic to be objective and say if you travel there, you do so at great risk. Especially at present with heightened tensions in the Middle-East, there are areas that I would just not go to, not worth it. There is a very good reason you have heavily armed security as the reality is there are people there who do not want you there and will make that happen without blinking. As for peace and prosperity in the future, the Taliban is now back stronger than ever, so we wonder was it all worth it, as they will not stop until they are back in control. That area you were in up North saw some brutal attacks a few days ago, including just to the East of where you were in Kunduz. But, the content you deliver is real and raw and humbling and it is good people see that, as I have seen so much of it personally as well. So I wish you continued happy and safe journeys and I too really hope that the people get peace, as most are great and welcoming and the kids are always the ones who suffer the most.
The guy offering his fish to you. Incredible hospitality. So glad I found this channel.
My heart goes out to these long suffering people who work so hard just trying to survive. May they have prosperity and peace. Respect from Australia.
Afghanistan is beautiful ❤️ i wish all these people the best and I hope they continue to have peace in their lives.
The kid with the eggs has more of a lion’s heart than those Taliban or men with guns.
I’m grateful that I am privileged to live without worry for clean water and food, this makes me feel bad about the times I’ve ever complained. Prayers out to the people who live in these conditions every day.
You are doing some very great work, Nick. I’ve always liked your videos, but the Afghanistan series has reached another level. Thank you for showing the world a side of the story that is rarely told and for helping the children. ❤️
Dear Nick, you are doing the greatest job ever here in YouTube, serving the humanity! I can’t thank you enough for presenting all these rare footage to this world by risking your own life! Especially that scene the little boy running with the eggs, it got me teary, literally! Yea, I actually cried! This is how we feel the power of empathy, the power of love! You don’t need to know them, but you still feel them! When will this whole world understand this?? Let’s love all the people of the world, no hate!! Lots of good wishes for beautiful country AFGHANISTAN! Anyway, I myself as a traveler I would say this is one of the most powerful and heart-wrenching contents I have ever seen on YouTUbe!! Kudos to you! Stay safe, mate!
Blessing to All The Good People of Afghanistan, Especially The Little Kids 🙏😢
Love when u say Salaam to everyone like all other Afghans 🧡
That kid in the video selling eggs captures me. At the young age, he knows whats going on with their situation. I can see it in his eyes that hes determined to sell all of those. I wish i was there to buy all of it. 😔
I just can’t stop thinking about the little boy selling eggs. blown my mind. Hope Afghanistan will recover soon. love from India.

Always love seeing the perspective you provide man. Such a more clear picture than what we see/hear in the news 🙌🏽
Fair play to going to places many people wouldn’t go and showing the stories of different people ! Doing some amazing work and putting out some great content and much appreciated ,keep it up !
I’m from Venezuela (And Colombia) and I think there must be a control of people who seek asylum. More than 20 years old of social crisis results in some horrible people. Most of us just want to help our families back home, but there’s a small portion who want to replicate their crimes abroad. I only expect the countries fostering Venezuelans to treat them with respect, and sadly, in South America there’s two or three countries who have treated us like shit (In Peru, my eight year old cousin was bullied for being Venezuelan. When he told his teachers, they told him he couldn’t complain and that his bullies letting him go to school was enough hospitality). I live in Argentina and it’s much better. In here, there’s also lots Brazilians. They are amazing people with beautiful souls and I’m lucky to call some of them my friends. If Venezuela one day gets back on its feet, we will try to pay all the help Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and other countries have given us.
Brazil’s geography is insane. Its most eastern point is closer to Africa than it’s most north to southern point .
Thank you for showing the reality of my country Venezuela to the world, people see the news but doesn’t understand how it’s really living there, we all left for the same reasons, no present and no future living in my beautiful country, I live in Canada now so you can imagine how far I feel from it, but how close with your videos I feel, thank you for bringing me a little closer, keep it up 🙏🏼
as a brazillian the situation in south america makes me so mad, seeing my brothers from venezuela and argentina suffering so much is heartbraking, im glad that even our situation here being bad, we still have life quality
This is by far the most interesting and authentic travel channel on YouTube right now!
As a Venezuelan, I am very grateful to see videos like these, where you show reality from a very humble and human perspective. Thank you so much!
This Brazil-Venezuela trip is so fascinating
Good to see Lenny back in the videos! I actually met up with Lenny in Buenos Aires in February 2020 and we had some corona beers at a bar ( coincidently right before corona virus came to be ) and we chatted about Nic’s Venezuelan series. It was super interesting. These days Lenny is a street photographer in BA, check his Instagram out for some incredible photos. He’s as cool in person as he is in Nic’s series.
I live in Lebanon and i can relate to the situation in VenezuelaSo sad to see people in both countries in such difficult times
My wife is from Brazil. I’m American. I have seen a lot of what your seeing. This is how others live. It changes your perspective of everything. Most people have no idea of what it’s actually like, outside their own city. Thank you for what you do.
Your editing has got so crisp over the years! As an old fan and also an editor myself, I have to congratulate you on the quality of your work and content.I’ve watched you videos for so long waiting for a brazilian series because I knew how truly you could capture the different realities of our people.Thank you so much for showing my country in this humain perspective and in such a comprehensive and admirable way. Keep up with the good work! 🇧🇷
You’re fortunate to have Diego as your traveling companion/guide. He’s articulate, laid-back and approachable with people, and trilingual! Portuguese, Spanish and English. I like how he wears the Brazilian footwear of choice- havaianas.
I’ve been waiting anxiously for the next episode and here it is. Never been in this part of the country but it seems rough and fascinating at the same time. Thanks for this video, Nic 👍👏🇧🇷
Your reporting is an inspiration. It is fist and foremost deeply human as well as unbiaised and objective. You always take the least walked path to bring to your audience the realities of places most of us will probably never set foot in. Your contribution to (third) world reporting should be officially rewarded. I hope it is, one day. Bravo et merci.
Nick good brother. I started “traveling” with you several years ago. My earliest impression was: “Where is this young Kiwi taking us?” Not so much relative to place (that part was obvious!), but relative to life perspective. This is now also obvious. Good man, Nick! It has been very eye and heart opening voyaging through the continents with you. Be blessed and travel on! Whenever you get to Bali, an open door and a couple of friends will welcome you and any companion. (It’s a great place to chill between the struggles.)
i lived there, in pacaraima, in my earlier years. it got MUCH worse in the last decade, due to the immigrations issues (we can’t filter the people entering the country, if they’re bad or good), and it created a lot of anti-venezoelan feeling in people here, as you see in video. hope some day they could restore their country and live there with dignity, cause it is taken from them everyday. 🙁
Tragic to see what’s happened to Venezuela. My sister lived there for 6 years during the 80s when there was a large prosperous middle class. Oil had been extremely good to the Venezuelan people but the appalling Maduro thugs have destroyed the country and funneled billions into their personal accounts.

Thank you so much for being an opening eye for us on what is the reality lies ahead of you when you visit african countries. I’ve watched some of your travel videos from different countries and it makes me more curious about their culture and way of living. I hope someday I can also visit thd places you have been. God bless to you and take care always😊 love from Philippines😘🇨🇿
More great insights into a world we only get to see through the news!! The series is brilliant 💪😉
When I am watching this video, I can see people speaking somali language and it makes me happy to see how amazing my country somalia had become .🇸🇴
So I’m actually watching your videos because my professor asked us to review the vlog scene, and how people create global media abroad. It’s great to see a friendly, positive outlook even while traveling to what’s normally considered wild, strange places. It’s great to see you interact with these wonderful people so interested and respectful, because it’s what I’d hope a good world traveler would act like. It’s good material for the essay, too, but first a really nice experience. Awesome awesome job
This is such an interesting trip you are on! Thank you for sharing it with us. Don’t think Somaliland will be on the future travel agenda so I appreciate the insights. The people seem pretty friendly and welcoming. Congrats on 500K subs.
Love the series, and all your videos. It’s truly wonderful to see so many parts of the world and their peoples, that I’ll likely never get to see. Thank you !!!
5:49 the best thing about the videos on the channel isn’t even the amazing footage but the stories of resilience of the local people in their difficult situations.
Amazing country who would of thought. Thank you for another great upload indigo traveler, can’t wait for next one!
Best traveller 👋👋love Somalian people ♥️ greeting from Morocco 🇲🇦🇸🇴
This area of Somaliland is so beautiful
Man.. you’ve got guts my friend. I travel a lot for filming but never wanted to go to risky places like that. It must be an amazing experience for you to live among those people. Thank you very much for sharing this adventure. I just found your channel and can’t wait to see all your other videos. Wishing you all the best.
Big love from Algeria to our brothers and sisters from Somali
I absolutely love your positive outlook on these places. We only know what we are shown, that’s why I look everywhere and do my own research. I live in Baltimore, Maryland and we get dragged in the media, but I Love it here. New subscriber.🙋
The people of Somalia are the best and i love them Respect Form Afghanistan
Somali people are some of the friendliest I’ve ever met. Sure some of the older generation come may come a little more rude to some people but they just have different believes and follow old traditions. Any thank you for another great video!
I feel the energy and love of the Somalians! Thank you Nick
Amazing. Loved every minute of it! Keep on exploring Nick!
Beautiful people and place. I would love to explore their beaches for surfing.
