*What a wild day, tune in for the next video where I will be hitchhiking up the border of Iraq-Iran!* 🙏Stay up to date with my adventures here: https://www.instagram.com/indigo.traveller/Thanks for watching! 🇮🇶x 🇮🇷

Im not sure how i got un subbed to this channel! Great video! Last time I was on that border we were armed to the teeth and didnt feel safe lol!

This guy has a great attitude man, you’ll find anywhere you go you take that with you and show respect and interest in learning about people’s country you’ll find great hosts everywhere, all the best man and safe travels.

Who on earth gives videos of this quality the thumbs down? Excellent I felt as though I was there myself. Will be following more in the series

I did not realize Afro-Iranians existed. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

Dude you went to south Iran and you didn’t go to Kish? That’s the coolest place you could have gone to in south Iran 😉

When I was in Iraq with the British army we had to do vehicle checks on the same boarder also down the shatt al-Arab river … Weird watching you walk round reasonably safe compared to how it was back then. Great video BTW.

I can’t believe I stayed with you for the entire 19 minutes. It was well done and you entertained all the way through. You shared your experience with an unbiased view of a complicated part of the world. Well done.

You’re amazing. You do better reporting than an actual Journalist. I love the work you did in Venezuela.

The stories and honesty from this vlog will always make you keep coming back to watch every video on the channel. Thank you for showing Iraq and your honest insights on your travel.

Easily one of my Favourite channels on YouTube! ❤️ You’re visiting some unique locations, Nick! And showing us some unprecedented vlogs! Keep up the good work. 👏🏼

Hi Indigo traveller, I really appreciate your visits to the middle east, it is no doubt that you are a unique civilization lover, unfortunately the media has destroyed the reputation of Middle Eastern people, but brave persons like you lead the way and make it possible for other persons to know these cultures closely.I am from Syria, and I wish one day that our country transforms into a completely democratic and free country, away from dictatorship and terrorism together.

I just have to say, thank you so much for doing what you do, Nick. Your vids are so informative, and insightful. It’s great to see someone relating to the citizenry, as opposed to just the “sights”. Hats off to you man. Onward, and upward.

This makes me really want to visit Iran. The people, the food, and the scenery are wonderful!

It’s good to see south parts of Iran, never had the chance to travel there, thanks for sharing!

I totally have Iran on my bucket list of places to go. Watching your videos makes me want to go there more!

I like what you do, people who have never traveled and depend on “the news” to say what a place is like can benefit from your videos. (You seem to be more willing than I to visit potential areas of conflict). Regardz!

Facinating. The video, voice overlays, all of it are so amazing. Incredible quality. It is amazing to share this adventure with you, thank you for sharing!!

I remember the Iran-Iraq war since I was 18 in 1982. I remember reading the news on it and Iraq had the support of the USA because of the Iran hostage crisis. Americans despised anything Iranian. The news reported that Iran had more soldiers so their strategy was to send waves of soldiers since they were more expendable to Iran. Iraq had better weapons and missiles so it was Iraqi tech vs waves of Iranian soldiers w small arms. I think it was a stalemate for a long time.

They have some good food at the border. Such a pretty laid back lifestyle. The simple life and the friendly really made Iran beautiful.

(c) Indigo Traveller A trip to Venezuela’s most dangerous neighborhood, AKA one of the most dangerous places on the planet… Donate to feed the …

*This video has raised over $340,000 US Dollars….* Thank you so much to everyone that has contributed! Obviously, I am beyond words and many of the children in Venezuela are living a more comfortable life thanks to those that have been kind enough to donate. Want to see where the money has gone? Watch the update video here to find out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTe4-TPIcTw&t=

It’s videos like this that make me appreciate YouTube, It’s so cool that we live in a time where we can just log onto a website, and get an inside look at a unique country like this. Keep up the great work mate.

Watching this video really touch me, I’m from that Slum, i’m from Petare. You were just standing beside my highschool when you were in that petrol station at “El Llanito”, when you were inside the church in “El Carmen” that i used to attend and where my grandparents got married you were just in front of my elementary school and barely one block away from my family house. Seeing you so close to my roots, to my family, to my friends was really touching. I am one of the many that left the country because of the economic and social crisis, I’m actually living in Per, i arrived here after travelling like 6 days in busses. As you could see for yourself, the crisis are no jokes. And from the bottom of my heart, i just want to thank you, thank you for helping my comunnity, for showing me again the streets i grew up.Really, Thank you very much Indigo Traveller from a Petareo and a Venezuelan.

I cried a lot watching THIS video. The sparkle in the kids eyes, the smile on their faces…. That happiness is priceless.

Wow. This is sad and encouraging. I’m Venezuelan and this makes me cry. Thanks Nick and thanks Andrés for this beautiful mission

I donated $1000 yesterday after watching this video. Watching this showed me how fortunate I am to live so comfortably, I would love to thank Nick for opening my eyes to this. It’s been amazing to watch your channel grow brother, wish I could drop everything and do what you’re doing. Never stop.

Dude, I can’t express how thankful I am to you. After watching this video series I’m feeling extremely nostalgic as you reminded me the beauty of where I come from, which is certainly not material beauty but human beauty, you truly are brave for being out there and showing the world a little snippet of what the people of Venezuela live through every day. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything as transparent and honest when it comes to Venezuela news on any kind of media, period. Thank you for putting this out there, it’s beyond saying that you’re extremely talented and that your videos are amazing, keep doing what you do for the world, I can’t see you as anything other than a hero right now, thank you, thank you, thank you. And I hope you were able to get more content from Venezuela.

This is more than just a travel vlog. This is truly some of the best documentary work I’ve seen on the Venezuelan crisis, because you can see how it’s affected normal people, especially children.

I’ve lived in Venezuela all my life and thinking about going to Petare gives me chills. Interesting watching your videos about our country, also thank you for showing the situation, helping spreading the word and helping those children!

Saw this video and immediately donated. Heartbreaking! We need to come together for the Venezuelan people ♥️

the fella who is running the soup kitchen seems like a good guy, the type of guy who should be in government but never will

Nick, I’d really like to know how witnessing the effects of poverty, the dire need in children and families in the many countries you’ve visited has affected you. I truly enjoy watching these videos because they redirect my life to what is truly important. Thank you for what you do!

Nick, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting out what is going on in my country. I’m still living in Venezuela and I didn’t even knew some of the things that Lenny and Andres said, the only way for us to get information is from the internet, specially videos like this, so this was really helpfull for us too. It makes me sad to see the country where I grew up like this.I hope you can come back to visit us when everything gets better. Thank you for caring about us <3

God bless you and your good heart, Nick. Thank you for showing this to the world. I’m Venezuelan and visited these streets when I was a kid, it was so busy back then and full of life. It’s heartbreaking to see how it has deteriorated. I’m heartbroken to see my country in ruins but happy I was able to visualize the reality today. Thanks for providing the link for the go fund me account. God bless you always and thank you for sharing this with the world.

I come from one of those slums. I could easily be one of those kids. I was so lucky that, back in the day, my own country gave me a good education for me to have a better life. But I just broke into tears when I relived those childhood moments through this video. My country does not deserve this suffering, which is the ultimate consequence of corruption and greed. Thank you for the great service you’re doing. Many people will appreciate this.

Thank you so much for helping our people, I was born in Venezuela but left when I was 5 because my parents foresaw this whole situation. Hearing all these young kids speak with the Venezuelan accent brings tears to my eyes. Mucho amor a todos mis hermanos y hermanas Venezolanxs <3

Nick I discovered your channel yesterday and I have been binge watching your videos since. Your content is incredible and really touching my heart. I will donate to these children. Thank you so much for doing this video. Love from California.

Really moved by this video – brought me to tears to see these children in their situation through no fault of their own but still managing to smile and be positive. Wonderful work Nick capturing this. What an unfair world we live in.

that guy running the soup kitchen seems like a good hearted lad. Those are the people that should be in government.

MY NORTH KOREA HOLIDAY (not what you think)

Want to see how I got into North Korea and how much it cost me? Watch here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoFT3DzR4Mg

I fled to South Korea in 2012 and Just finished your video that you had a great time on the seaside of North Korea calls Wonsan that I was born. Miss my hometown a lot but you gave me the opportunity that I could see my place that I grow up. Big big thank you to you. Hope you enjoy your life and give a lot of opportunity that people never seen in the media by your work and passion. Stay safe. Thanks again.

It’s really cool that those kids talked to him, cos I was at school with some NK students in China and I’ve never heard anybody telling me “Yeah, just made friends with some NK students…” They had a class to their own, their own teachers, their own subjects to study, and seemed to be just there to borrow the facilities. But to be fair, we didn’t actively seek to talk to them either…they’re probably really nice and friendly but just intimidated by the foreign and, well…patronising environment.

Never been there but the most beautiful thing in this episode is the lovely kids. I loved the way they look, their uniforms, their smiles and everything. Innocent creatures in a bad place.

*Legend has it that Kim Jung Il did a triple 360 front flip back flip with no splash off the diving platform*

Hope you are having a great time!

just binge watched all of your north korea series and , wow!! What an amazing job you have done! I’m sure it was such an extraordinary experience.. Thanks for the great content, and may you continue your travels safely! 🙂

What a gorgeous country, sad that they have such a poor political climate.

Hello indigo traveler, I must say I am impressed by the amazing architecture of some of the places you visited in North Korea. I have been binge watching all your videos started with your videos in Venezuela which I really enjoyed love your videos, thank you for putting yourself in difficult situations to give us amazing views we wouldn’t normally get. Keep doing what your doing man so awesome ! 😎

Watching this series, everything just feels like a facade. Like you aren’t actually seeing the real North Korea. Not even being allowed to talk to the locals about their day to day life is so crazy.

He does a good job being respectful but objective.

I feel like I’ve been holding my breath through all of these videos 😩

I love how tired this guy is. It’s like if I’d vlogged my five years of college.

As surreal and weird as North Korea is, it’s still really really nice to see people just having fun and enjoying the nice weather! Alot of times I think we forget that these are all REAL people living in a seemingly “fake” country

These videos give us a very interesting insight on life in NK. Even though the locations and interactions are carefully crafted by the tour groups working with the regime, I still find it interesting to see what kind of ‘picture’ they want to portray to people on the outside. Some viewers are a bit too harsh saying ‘oh you’re supporting their propaganda’ or ‘why are you spending money there?’; thing is we all know it’s fake, hell I bet he was thinking it the entire time but he still documents what he can giving us his thoughts based on what he CAN say at that moment while still being respectful and I think that’s quite powerful.Edit: Also the videos are so aesthetically pleasing. Really great travel videos 🙂

“It kind of feels like a musical” because everything seems like it’s been choreographed though I was glad to finally see people enjoying some down time

Their lifestyle seems like travelling back to 90’s days.. amazing! 🙂

North Korea still a very closed country. Nice you are opening it up to the world. Very brave of you to travel there. Roads empty. Not many cars. Looks really rigid.

I’ve only seen 3 or 4 of your North Koren videos I subscribed to your channel now, I’m hooked. You covered so much ground on your visit. A lot more than any other person I’ve seen. This particular clip brought tears to my eyes to listen to kids yelling out hello. They must of been curious to see an “American” or a foreigner on that once in a year day out. The innocence of children who are groomed to dispise another culture. This country is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with the world. I look forward to all your other video clips.

Enjoyed that! Thanks brother

*Loving Kurdistan,* thanks to all the amazing locals that have welcomed me over and over again with open arms!See photos of them, cityscapes and landscapes here: https://www.instagram.com/indigo.traveller/

As a 64 yr old woman you are showing me places in the world I’ll never see with my own eyes. Thanks for the experience

A shame of western media.. They never show this side of Iraq!

I have never seen Iraq like this. The U.S. really paints a certain picture.

Iraq is beutiful!!! I’d like to visit sometime!!! All i see from the main stream media is war and a crumbbled state. Shame on the main stream media, feeding people with only the negatives! Much l9ve from Kenya🇰🇪

Wonderful country! I wish I could visit it! Greetings for all Iraqis and to you from Portugal!

I spent time in Erbil. As an American, I felt very safe and welcomed. The people were amazing!

To be honest Literally, I am shocked a little bit as a person from Turkey. I was not expecting that such a beautiful area.

Beautiful country and people. Love Iraq, love the Kurds and love the great people!

It’s so nice to see this side of Iraq/Kurdistan, we never see this in mainstream Western media. It looks beautiful there.

western media will never show this side of Iraq

Happy to see Iraq making a comeback, I’ve always wanted to visit!

Thanks Indigo Traveling for this wonderful and eye-opening video. When I was starting with this video what I thought I would be seeing are ruins, desert, old building, many people wearing traditional arabic clothings, untidy people weary of war, old and few cars, some tanks and war vehicles, guns , and poorly maintained streets and environment. But I was so so surprised to see a very progressive place in this part of Iraq. I’m so impressed with the proofs of wealth: gold, luxury cars, new buildings, good restaurant, well clothed and good looking people. With so much honesty, I can say that I’m so happy for the Kurdish people in this area. May the Lord give me and my family, the opportunity to visit this place someday. I hope and I pray that this territory will remain peaceful and affluent; and that other Kurdish people will be joining them, and they get their other ancestral lands from countries that annexed those lands. May the Lord continue to bless the Kurdish people, and may the Lord bring spiritual revival and salvation to this land.

All love and respect from Iraq ♥️🇮🇶

You are very nice YouTuber. Showing the reality, love and simplicity of Iraqi people, you and any tourist are always welcome in Iraq 🇮🇶❤️🇮🇶❤️🇮🇶❤️But actually there are many nice places, museums cultures, mountains, waterfalls, churches, mosques, malls, parks that you didn’t visited. Hope you will visit it soon again 🇮🇶❤️

Welcome to Iraq my friend. We have nothing but love for people from all around the world and want nothing but peace, love and prosperity. Regardless of where someone is from, we share this planet together and have same goals an ambitions.

Never seen iraq like this. Looks amazing. God bless from scotland

Thank you again sir ! (for helping us see other people beyond Western news) I visited central and southern Iraq in May 2002, for humanitarian reasons, but did not get to really visit Kurdistan. People are super kind and welcoming, well, when one is not waging a military occupation/invasion. The United Nations should recognize the Kurdish regions as a different nation, with their own democracies, and give them at least one UN seat/vote, even if that would anger some in Iraq, some in Syria and enrage Turkey (who is waging a criminal aggression against some Kurdish regions in northern Syria).

this looks like the side of iraq i want to visit, looks beautiful, I don’t care about the gold stores, and fancy cars on the street, that doesn’t have to be there, but it just looks more inviting, the people seem friendly, very different that what we see.

Your channel should be on television. Your content is so raw and amazing thank you for sharing your travels with all of us!

It’s a strange world we live in with a lot of mind-blowing stuff to see. This definitely takes things to the extreme.

I have always been strangely fascinated with Chernobyl. Now I really wanna go there. On to part 2!

Nick’s line of the year…“…they don’t want terrorists coming in and taking really dangerous substances and doing whatever they do with really dangerous substances” Love it. Great video Nick 🙂

So interesting, going there next summer as well 😉

That tour guide is EPIC lol”Really important, we can’t enter any buildings”Then spend the next 5 hours entering every building they see. LOLThat guy is awesome

Nick, your videos are so incredible! It’s going to take me years to binge watch all of your incredible content. Thank you so much for doing what you do. Your Venezuela videos are what I’m currently watching. Thank you, thank you so much, Nick

I’ve been skimming thru your videos and I think you’re an amazing person doing incredible work. Thank you for sharing your beautiful experience with us. I’m excited to start from the beginning and watch it all and I’m already looking forward to all your future videos.

You learn something every day…i never knew that pilots and cabin crew were subjected to radiation!!! Also, i think the Top Gear crew went to the abandoned fairground as i remember Jeremy Clarkson being there 😉

This is amaizing to see and very interesting. I would definitely love to visit this place. My grandmother has told me all about what happened in Chernobyl 😔 so did my uncle and he is still living and I love speaking to him about the war and this and our history. It’s fascinating.

This is the type of vlogs I enjoy watching..Informative and very interesting, unlike those immature vloggers. Well done, new subscriber here.

I have seen documentaries about old grannies living in those abandoned villages, they seemed happy and they said they rather lived and worked the field in their own house than lived in an apartment block in a big city… Those were tough ladies, growing their own food (radioactive I guess) and not caring about dangers. I sure respect their decision!

Hi Nick. I did a similar tour of Chernobyl last month. I have traveled to 115 countries since 1985. This tour was in my top handful of one day experiences, fascinating, thoughtful and intense. It really makes you think. It is incredible to see the abandoned buildings along with the trees and wild life that have come to dominate the area. I highly recommend viewing the documentaries available on you tube prior to your tour of Chernobyl. Great job Nick- my guide was also excellent- if you are near Kyiv it only takes one day, two would be preferential.

After I watched chernobyl tv series. I wanted to watch someone who visited here. This is the most serious, well explained video series on youtube about chernobyl. Its because he is far away from populism. He literally wants to share his trip with us. This is not a video made for clicks. I can feel the sincerity of him

Such an awesome video. Love how much of an intrepid explorer you are! Wayyyy much better to watch than travel bloggers laying on beaches all day!

Love how he says “Its 0.21, just like my appartment in Kiev” hahahaha… this guy is all cool with it.. 😀

You are brave, given some areas there put out dangerous radioactive energy. Radiation doesn’t always hurt you right away. Please be safe as radiation is not a Russian, Ukrainian, or US problem but a human problem. The meter he is using is ok but not the best.

This is phenomenal, Nick. I’ve seen other reports — like National Geographic— about Chernobyl, but I love seeing your point of view of this all! So fascinating. Abandoned places are interesting to see in general, but THIS abandoned place contains so much specific history and context, it’s great. Thank you so much for visiting and filming here! I feel like the mystery of Chernobyl from when I was young is being solved right before my eyes. 👍🏼✌🏼😊

Utterly phenomenal! seen a few Chernobyl videos, but you rip them apart with this. Informative and educational with word for word social history “bring enough food for three days – you will not be gone long” – Igor is so knowledgeable and your interactions are excellent. Those poor dogs, freezing and potentially contaminated, even Scotland was badly effected with 10,000+ sheep being killed as not fit for human consumption. Looking forward to the others Nick, thanks mate.

A former colleague was hired by the KGB to investigate the close encounters of the third kind at Voronezh in 1989. A high-ranking military friend of his told him that hovering UFOs helped to avert the Chernobyl reactor from reaching critical mass and exploding. That probably won’t make the TV series however.
