PAKISTAN DAY 1 🇵🇰 (Country of 200 million People!) (c) Indigo Traveller

(c) Indigo Traveller Exploring Pakistan’s biggest city of 20-25+ million people. Incredible! -My INSTAGRAM: http://indigotraveller.space/Instagram …

*It is great to be back* after my break from releasing videos and I hope you will enjoy this series of my trip to Pakistan. I got back from Pakistan a week ago, I did have plans to go to another country too but sadly those plans had to be cancelled due to the current global situation. Luckily I have some footage to keep the uploads coming for a little while whilst we learn more about the ever-changing travel restrictions in coming weeks/months. In the meantime, enjoy the videos, I am very happy with these videos I have from Pakistan so enjoy and take care out there. Much love, Nick 🇵🇰*Stay up to date and see the latest photos from Pakistan via my Intagram here:* https://www.instagram.com/indigo.traveller/

Nice one Nick, Pakistan looks fascinating. Damn, this gave me the travel itch again…but it will have to wait for now. Glad that you’ve got some footage backed up to put out there for the next little while, looking forward to seeing more of this little known country.

Nick, great stuff! Pakistan is definitely a super safe place and I’m happy millions of people will get to see it through your videos. You’re doing the world a massive favour, brother. Keep going! 🔥❤️🌌

i am from Lebanon🇱🇧i love pakistani people and they’re food! i hopefully i get a chance to go there when coronavirus is gone!love from Lebanon 🇱🇧🇱🇧🇱🇧🇱🇧

Pakistan is a beautiful country with great and friendly people, our lovely neighboring brothers and sisters. Love and respect from Iran 🇮🇷 🇵🇰

I <3 How friendly and humble the people of Pakistan are

Looks like an amazing place! Hoping we can get there this year too!

Pakistan sure looks like a beautiful country with amazing people. As a Mexican American man all I’ve ever really knew about Pakistan was that there were terrorist attacks and unrest as fed by the American media. Glad to see the truth, I’d also love to learn Urdu.

Pakistan is wild. I’ve been here since May & can’t get enough

The manner in which you approached presenting what this lovely country has to offer is heartwarming. Thank you for your dedication to showing others the parts of the world that are so often tainted by the lost minority percentage. May the Lord bless you & always keep you in safe company : )

Long live Pakistan, greetings/Selam from Bosnia 🇧🇦

Love from Parague 🇵🇭 The people of Pakistan are very adorable and talented. I toured in January. I will share all those tourism site videos.❤

Thank you so much for making these videos! I’m Pakistani american and have never visited the country my parents were born in. Seeing the streets of karachi which is where they both call home made me so happy and gave me a glimpse into the daily life there. Hope to go to Pakistan myself soon! Keep making the amazing content!

The people of pakistan are very generous i love it❤

I’m Indian origin but in UK. Would love to visit Pakistan someday. Great people. Great video dude!

Fantastic, Nick! For the past year, I’ve been following Rosie Gabrielle’s journey on motorbike through Pakistan— a bit here on YouTube but mostly on Instagram. It seems like a phenomenal place to visit. I’m impressed with the kindness of Pakistanis. Bless them! I’m sorry your journey has been curtailed with future travel. Stay safe & healthy. I am excited to see all of the Pakistan videos, though! 👍🏼✌🏼💕

Karachi’s inhabitants, locally known as Karachiites, are composed of ethno-linguistic groups from all parts of Pakistan, as well as migrants from South Asia, making the city’s population a diverse melting pot. At the end of the 19th century, the population of the city was about 105,000, with a gradual increase over the next few decades, reaching more than 400,000 on the eve of independence. Estimates of the population range from 15 to 18 million,of which an estimated 90% are migrants from different backgrounds. The city’s population is estimated to be growing at about 5% per year (mainly as a result of internal rural-urban migration), including an estimated 45,000 migrant workers coming to the city every month from different parts of Pakistan. The earliest inhabitants of the area that became Karachi were Sindhi tribes such as the Jokhio, Mallaah and Jat in the east and Baloch in the west and. Before the end of British colonial rule and the subsequent independence of Pakistan in 1947, the population of the city was majority Sindhi and Baloch Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs community numbering around 250,000 residents. The city was, and still is home to a large community of Gujarati Muslims who were one of the earliest settlers in the city, and still form the majority in Saddar Town. Important Gujarati Muslim communities in the city include the Memon, Chhipa, Ghanchi, Khoja, Bohra and Tai. Other early settlers included the Marwari Muslims, Parsis originally from Iran, Marathi Muslims and Konkani Muslims from Maharashtra (settled in Kokan Town), Goan Catholics and Anglo-Indians. Most Hindus and Sikhs migrated to India after independence of Pakistan. There are still small communities of Parsis, Goan Catholics and Anglo-Indians in the city. After the independence of Pakistan large numbers of Indian Muslims, mainly Urdu-speaking people, migrated to Karachi. There is also a sizeable community of Marathi Muslims and Malayali Muslims in Karachi (the Mappila), originally from Kerala in South India. The Marathi and Malayali Muslims in Karachi have intermarried with the other Muslims especially with Memon and Urdu-speaking Muslims and now have integrated into the wider Urdu-speaking Muhajir community.Since last few decades population of the Sindhis are also increasing dramatically. The Pashtuns, originally from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Afghanistan, the Federally Administered Tribal Areas and northern Balochistan, are now the city’s second largest ethnic group after Muhajirs, these Pashtuns are settled in Karachi from decades. With as high as 7 million by some estimates the city of Karachi in Pakistan has the largest concentration of urban Pakhtun population in the world, including 50,000 registered Afghan refugees in the city, meaning there are more Pashtuns in Karachi than in any other city in the world. However, according to the census 2017 of the Pakistan, the total population of the Pashtuns in Sindh is approximately 2.5 million (5% of the total sindh) and it will make around 10-13 percent of the Pashtoons living in Karachi’s population.

So thrilling to see you in Pakistan, and spooky to see the date you landed- March 15th! You must have squeaked in right before all the craziness started. Nice work!👍

Good vibe, Nick. Thanks for showing good impressions of this country.

Love your videos! Well produced, easy to watch, very informative and unbiased. 🙂

WALKING NAIROBI STREETS 🇰🇪(Kenya is different)

WALKING NAIROBI STREETS 🇰🇪(Kenya is different) (c) Indigo Traveller

(c) Indigo Traveller MY INSTAGRAM: https://www.goo.gl/LdEY3U -MY PATREON: https://www.patreon.com/indigotraveller -FREE $40 AIR-BNB …

*Kenya is off to a great start!* If you missed my last video ‘KENYA DISASTER DAY’ then you can watch that here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMa61RNFioE♥🇰🇪Thank you for watching! 🇰🇪♥

My wife, our 5 year old twins and I traveled to Nairobi in 2017. Everyone told us ‘it was a dangerous place’. But we rented a car; drove around the city by ourselves (even did the safari in the same car), went to different markets, drove to Naivasha (stayed one night in one of the Hippo safari camps)- and we met only the nicest and kind people. Kenya is a fantastic country and I would recommend to anyone having second thoughts.

Let me draw your attention to 12:30 where the woman sold you some beans and then added a handful for you. This handful is also found in West Africa and in Gambia we call it ” buu nyaa ” which means honour in Mandinka. It is given to almost every customer and some customers would even pleasantly ask for it if they’re not given it because people are deeply accustomed to it. This is one of the facts that makes me believe that Africans are the most generous people by nature.

Watching from Germany, proud of my Kenyan people they are so friendly. It’s unfortunate that we don’t get much of that kind of treatment Abroad.

Kenyans are beautiful! You are blessed with an ability to connect with everyone. People say the same about me. It has served me well!

When He mentioned He’s a vegetables guy…Peninah… “Then take potatoes “…My heart skipped a beat.😂😂😂Wakikuyu mtamaliza kila mtu na viazi…

Kenya is well devolping country than other african country. I love kenya.. lots of love from india..

Wow! Nairobi was so small in 1995. About 3×3 blocks of buildings was the downtown, next to Uhuru park. I had never had passion fruit until I got to Kenya! So delicious! And so common there. My sister’s nanny could believe I hadn’t. I thought she was 20. She was 40 with 3 kids at home! Narobi has grown so big so fast!!!

The kenyan people are so respectful 🇸🇴❣

Kenya is a beautiful country and I’m just super proud to be a Kenyan

From the look of things you are in downtown Nairobi, near Ngara..Not the safest of places in Nairobi,.but i also dont think its that bad..I’ve come to notice there are 2 types of tourists, there are the ones who come to Kenya, stay in posh hotels,go feed giraffes at the Giraffe Manor.lol,go to Diani for skydiving,go to Maasai mara for a hot air balloon sunset safari..then there are the ones who you’ll see in downtown Nairobi, with shorts and a camera, bargaining for best prices, taking matatus and getting the real experience of the Kenyan people,i low-key think these ones have most fun..Anyway To each their own. Also why do Kenyans turn into comedians when they see a camera?LOL.My country people!

Honestly when it comes to travel vlogs about Africa, this is one of the reasons I prefer watch African bloggers especially ones from Kenya. Because they’ll spend time teaching about the place and you’ll learn something interesting about the areas and ppl. Western vloggers particularly white ones will just spend 90% of the video telling you about how unsafe they felt or perceived an area to be to be! It’s boring and honestly makes you wonder why bother going to these areas in the first place.Either teach us something or don’t go, watching a video and it’s just contrast fear mongering, African youtubers actually appreciate our countries

Finally a place I’ve actually been to lol. I loved my time in Kenya. Would I walk around Nairobi in the middle of the night alone? No. I wouldn’t do that in London or LA either for that matter! I felt perfectly safe in Nairobi.

This kind of stuff (and the Venezuela series I watched yesterday) is better than anything on the front page of the New York Times, or the London papers. No article in a major world newspaper can possibly convey what these short videos reveal. The media has changed forever, I’m afraid.

Nairobi Kenya definitely its development country ❤ beautiful and peaceful..❤❤ love from Somaliland

Watched a lot of travel vlogs…Nick is by far the best travel vlogger I have come across. Love the Ethiopia videos. Lived there for 10 years when I was young. Great to see if from an authentic traveller like Nick. Keep it up.

I love this video with all my heart. Having born and bred in Kenya I’m so patriotic about everything within us. Come again. Karibu tena.

You are the perfect traveler. I like how you engage with the locals. How you show them respect and the right amount of kindness and friendliness. I try to do the same thing.

i grew up in nairobi and my dads family live there still. Havent been there since 1996 and im now 30. Its incredible to see this perspective of it. Kind of reminds me of how it used to be and my young memories of nairobi. Still very similar and seems just more populated now. amazing..now ill go watch the others lol

the way my people welcome visitors makes me proud

*Great to finally be here, been planning this one for a while now and great to realize it!*Check out photos and stay up to date with my adventure here: https://www.instagram.com/indigo.traveller/*It’s gonna be epic in the true sense of the word.* ❤ 🤟🏾

Unlike other travel channels, yours is the most interesting because you don’t go to famous places or tourist traps. Instead you go to ‘forbidden lands’ 😁

The whole of Iraq would be a lot more developed if it wasn’t for the past dictatorship and foreign invasions. Beautiful people regardless 🙂

Damn, people trashed that first plane. I thought I saw a Dodge Charger Hellcat outside of that round hotel room.

I have spent 13 years working in Iraq, you should definitely take one of these Iraqi guys offers up and travel to Baghdad – Iraqi people are friendly and polite, you’ll have a good time

To all my Iraqi/Kurdish Brothers and Sisters i hope your country progresses well and there will be no future war there love from British Pakistan

Currently visiting Iraq from the US. Good to get out of your comfort zone. Love seeing others out there exploring the different cultures in places that don’t get as many tourists.

Man, I’m dying to visit Iraqi Kurdistan and meet its people and taste their food! Love from Argentina.

Dude, I am from Iraq, it’s a good experience to visit such a diverse country. However, you only visited the northern part which only represents part of our culture. I believe if you give Baghdad a visit, you will find it different and interesting as well.

I was in Iraq twice while in the Army and I always said it would be a beautiful place. Love the video man well done!

Take care man we love you for showing us what media doesn’t show us

I LOVE your videos. Every airport & plane shot makes me remember why I got burnt out on travel but then all the landscapes and interactions with people make me remembering why travel is so amazing and how much I miss it. Love that you are putting in all the leg work so lazy bastards like me can enjoy the highlights 🙏✌🏼

Nick, I wanted to say thanks for this vlog, it was the encouragement I needed to visit after wanting to visit Kurdistan for a long time. I just got back from 2 days in Erbil, 2 in Sulumaniya and a camping trip with the epic Rekan – once again, thanks, great video series!

Thank you for this really. It’s amazing we can share our experiances and different perspectives about this beautiful world where we settle on. Thank you again. Idol.💛 You are doing big things for society!

Looks awesome. One day I hope to bring my wife to one of the wonderful Middle Eastern countries. So much amazing history there if we can ignore the negative press the media gives these places. I love the food and enjoy the culture of these places.

This channel is such a treasure, I had been wondering about all these countries, and I found some of the answers in your videos, Glad to found it, keep up the good work, I hope I can travel in these middle eastern countries one day!

This was great to watch , my neighbours are from Iraq and are the most lovely neighbours I have ever had

Thank you for making these really interesting videos! I actually love that hotel room. I’d run circles around it for exercise and that view is amazing! I probably wouldn’t go to Iraq/Kurdistan – at least not now but I’m really interested. I know people in the Middle East are usually super friendly and hospitable.

Love iraq from the Netherlands! good that there are people who visit these countries and show us positive image of these countries instead of the western controlled media that only shows the negative sides! Great Job Indigo Traveller!

Drew you are one of a kind. Love your travel vlogs

*Yemen. Yemen. Yemen. This country has really captured my heart.* Shukran to the Yemeni people for having me in your beautiful land 🇾🇪

The old buildings in and on the cliffs are really interesting.

I love Yemen they are one of best Arab kind people

“Try to put the message as soon as you can!” This hit us, these people are oppressed because of politics. Thank you for your work in spreading the message! We pray for you and your incredible work! ~Cara & John ❤️

I spent five months in Sana’a in 2004. Everyone was incredibly friendly. Even those who obviously didn’t have much would offer to share with me. I attended multiple weddings, uninvited, and was welcomed every time. Never ever did I feel unsafe. I’m sure it helped that my Arabic was reasonably good, but I don’t think it would have made much difference if I didn’t speak much Arabic, it just would have made it more difficult to communicate. One time I was approached by a man who was obviously not right mentally, and kept saying something about his uncle, but within maybe 10 seconds, at least five other Yemenis showed up and took him away. The Yemeni are a beautiful people. The powers that be in the west need to do something to stop the tragedy that is happening there.

I’m originally from Yemen, but live in America. I just wanted to say thank you for showing the current situations of yemen, many people don’t know the crisis in yemen. And thank you for showing yemen as the beautiful and strong country it truly is. @Indigo Traveller

The translator was very good. He explained accurately and even made expressions that couldn’t be translated comparable to ones in english that have the same meaning. Very good.

I LOVE the way this traveler asks open-ended interview questions: “what do you think about…” “anything else you want to say?” “Can you tell me about…” such fantastic and genuine real journalism.

I miss Anthony Bourdain immensely. The only show I enjoyed watching was Parts Unknown but since I have found your channel you’re helping with that loss. Keep it up and keep safe!

Totally digging these videos. Seeing other parts of the world really changed my life for the better, and watching these videos makes me want to travel to new places again.

I have visited Yemen in 2007 , it was one of the beautiful countries in the world. I hope peace comes back to this beautiful country.

This video left me emotional! I am glad that travelers like you get the opportunity to have a look at Yemen from the inside and share some positivity to the world (and to Yemenis as well). I hope this tragedic war comes to an end soon to see more travelers there, and I hope you had a memorable trip despite of the stressed situation 🙂

I was in Yemen when it was safe. Incredibly fascinating country with super people. It really breaks my heart to see it today. Glad at least some of it is peaceful. Even in peace, there were lots of check points but now is really insane. Life was never easy there, but now! Excellent videos. You really capture Yemen. I look forward to the next ones!

Apart from my beloved Honduras, I think this is the best trip you have done in regards to informing the world. At least of the trips I’ve seen which is most of them. Absolutely eye opening in every way. The people, landscape, situation, everything is so different than what I expected. You are a ballsy person to be there and I hope you stay safe.

It’s so amazing that you went there. There’s always a misconception about Yemen being dangerous, when in reality it’s just the media portraying that image. I always have to explain my country’s situation to so many people here in the states because their always assuming the worst. Next time you visit Yemen, make sure to visit my hometowns Sana’a and Rada’a 🙂 You won’t regret it… I’ll give you a free tour hahah

Awesome video. It’s so bitter sweet. Amazing to see so how welcoming and friendly the Yemeni people are and the amazing land and history. At the same time sad to see the poverty and how war torn it is. Loved this glimpse into a world few outsiders get to see. Hope the future holds bright and positive things for the kind people of Yemen.

I can really appreciate the stories that you share with us. I’m a photographer and some of the shots you have are just amazing. I remember some time ago the picture of that little boy that was sitting on the side of the road. I can’t remember what country it was. Maybe Iran or Iraq maybe? That picture for me said so much more than just a person in a picture. You keep doing what you’re doing and write a book with these amazing pictures. Stay safe.

You’ve done it again Nick. Taking us where the mainstream doesn’t with another fascinating insight. Blessings to you and the people of Yemen.

Without war there is obviously so much to see. Hopefully things can stabilize enough for tourism to grow.

Wow these are some of the most cinematic beautiful videos I’ve ever seen and I love how you really show the countries. I’ve been so so curious about Yemen 🇾🇪 thank you for sharing your trip

Day 1: Arriving in Yemen (surreal to be here) (c) Indigo Traveller

(c) Indigo Traveller It’s hard to believe that I was fortunate enough to gain access to Yemen, experience the beautiful culture and meet the kindest …

🔴 *After 3 years in the making, I finally made it to Yemen.* Yemen has been at the top of my list for a long time. Spoiler alert: It definitely met and surpassed my expectations. I just started posting the photos from this mind-expanding trip on my Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/indigo.traveller/Thank you for watching, great to be back posting videos again. Let me know your thoughts of the video in a comment below. Cheers! Nick 🇾🇪

so surreal to be able to see a country like this thats so closed off. Great job documenting it, i know its not easy

ohh finally a new video of someone visiting Yemen and showing how it is there, how kind people are. I love the land of Yemen, peace to all of you from Russia 🇷🇺🇾🇪

I was in Yemen around 9 years ago and I must say the people were amongst the friendliest I’ve ever encountered in my life. Their situation is heartbreaking and all for what? Live and let live!

As a Yemeni, I would like to thank you for making an effort to just put things the way they are without doing what mainstream media usually do. Just like any other people Yemeni people would like to live a simple and happy life and believe me, we ourselves don’t know what this war is really about. Many times I find myself googling why Yemen is in war lol

Look what popped up on my feed. Good to see you traveling again and keep up the great work.

I’ve been to Yemen when i was a kid in 2007 and i loved it , I’ve mostly been to sanaa and some amazing mountains , hope the country recovers in the future the people don’t deserve this at all . 🇮🇶💟🇾🇪

Young journalists, watch and learn, THIS is what journalism is all about! This guy gives me hope that true journalism will stay alive!

As a yemeni man I just want to say thank you, really appreciate your work and how you show the world Yemen from inside and have normal discussions with yemenis people to hear their voice without the media stereotypes views about usThank you ❤️

as a yemeni, i appreciate the way you were projecting our country that has been going through so much in the past years. i dont live in yemen but this video made me feel proud about this coutry

Incredible video, bro!

I worked with lots of Yemeni people, they’re probably one of the most generous, caring, humble people I have ever met. They never eat alone, always invite people and share their meals, very hospitable people.

Some of the best landscapes in the world! Imagine what Yemen could be with a decent government

I’ve been following the conflict in Yemen since 2019. It’s wild to get an inside look at the country. So gorgeous.

You were blessed to have Kais as your guide. A clearly well educated and knowledgable man it can make all the difference when touring this magnificent country.

As a Yemeni I would really like to thank you for showing the world, how Yemen is and not what people see or listen to in the news. Changing the perspective of people towards Yemen. Thank you very much. All the support and keep doing what you are doing.

Thank you Nick. I’m blown away by the beauty of the Yemeni coastline. Almost achingly beautiful considering what the country is going through. Imagine how amazing it can be and it’s potential in peace/prosperity times.I’ve seen other documentaries of Yemen and it’s beautiful Northern mountainous regions where they grow coffee. I know the term “Mocha” originated from the legendary port city of Mokha there in Yemen where coffee was being traded in the 15th century with the Far East and Europe. Yemen also prides itself on being the first cultivator of Coffee Arabica in the world and was once the world’s biggest producer of coffee. Hoping to hear more of that in your travels.Meanwhile stay safe. I love the accompanying Arabic tracks!(Edit)Editing this to say that your guide & translator is phenomenal. His English is awesome, looks like a solid & kind gentleman but one who won’t hesitate to wrestle a lion should the need arise. Stay safe !!!Kiora !!!

Interesting how Oman is trying to get all sides together to work something out. The problem is you can’t can’t just sign papers and call it good. Yemen is a very interesting county with a unique story that often gets overlooked. Thanks for the video and showing the not talked about side of Yemen.

Wow, the Yemeni people are so sweet inspire of what they have to go through. I had a Yemeni employee in the states, hardworking guy and like a son to me. The coastline and terrain is beautiful and that hotel with such luxury is quite unexpected.
