This was the first time I became a member of anyone on YouTube AND my very first superchat. I’m making an exception for Aki because I feel like she tries really hard to show her appreciation. I want to support that. A lot of time– not just Hololive– it feels like you can only interact with people like this if you give them money. When that happens and they call us friends, it makes me feel dirty: then I feel like I’m being lied to so I will give them money. However, you don’t need an apple next to your name for Aki to read your comments or like your posts. I’m not saying that other YouTubers will only pay attention if you give money– some of those channels are very busy and the only comments they can see are superchats. Maybe it is easier for Aki sometimes to see us and … it feels nice to support someone whose appreciates our support and not just our money, y’know? Maybe that’s unfair to other people. I don’t know. I know we should comment on these videoes because that makes them do better on youtube. But I don’t want to just write nonsense. So I’m trying to use this space to write things with actual thought and depth. I also want to explain to someone looking here why I like Aki Rosenthal because maybe if they can understand why I do, they can discover their own appreciation for her efforts! Please forgive me, if it turns out poorly, but I hope you can understood why I tried.
